Regular Member Sanjeev Posted September 25, 2007 Regular Member Share Posted September 25, 2007 Hi, I have recently started using minoxidil again after a break of 4 months. The reason I stopped it previously was because I thought I was losing more hair because of that. The actual reason was that I have lot of dandruff and when I applied minoxidil on top if that it caused flaking and I was losing hair because of that. And I stopped using minoxidil. And I lost my thick hair which got dependent on minoxidil and pushed myself into a place where I need a HT. So before going for HT my doc advised to get onto minoxidil for next 3-6 months. But its again causing flaking and I feel like my scalp is on fire whole day. I am losing a lot of hair everyday. So I am looking for a soothant which can reduce flaking. Any advises? I heard of this emu oil. But does that work. They even claim it does the same job as minoxidil. Is it true?

Senior Member beachair Posted September 25, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted September 25, 2007 I use Stephan dandruff air tonic, which helps considerably. You can get it on line from Bowman Barber and Beauty. b
