Regular Member cottonnc Posted August 23, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted August 23, 2008 anyone know what Dr. Epstein charges? I also notice he is recommending about 500 more grafts than two other highly regarded surgeons. Is this because he is more aggressive with the hair line? I am middle aged and do not want to look like a high school kid? My Hair Loss Blog - Hair Transplant with Dr. Cooley

Guest wanthairs
Hi-- I paid $10,000 even for my surgery all inclusive of meds and everythign else. Maybe he wants to do more grafts to do more dense packing....He is not going to do anything without your approval on your head I assure you. He makes valid siggestions and then it is up to you..... Senior Member Dewayne Posted August 23, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted August 23, 2008 To be honest, 500 grafts is not a terribly large difference in opinions. I had three doctors give me a recommendation; two said 2,500 and one said 4,000. A lot of it is a matter of philosophy, imo. 100? Regular Member Mrs Hair Posted August 25, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted August 25, 2008 Hello cottonnc, I am sure Dr Epstein will work in the best interest of his patients. Its too early for me to speak about my results but at the time of consultation Dr Epstein gave me a choice and asked me if I would like the temples to be filled. There was absolutely no pressure and it was entirely my decison. Also we were looking at 2400 grafts but when I was 100 short of them Dr Epstein reimbursed the balance.I find his fee reasonable.Hope this helps.
