somedude
Im a 16 year old boy from the UK. Well recently a bad mistake at the barbers meant that a lot of hair from the sides of my head was somehow plucked from the head itself. ill take it that means its been pulled all the way from the roots. Well it looked VERY patchy on the sides because in some places there was normal hair levels but in the areas where its been plucked in bunches theres NO hair at all. It looked horrible so I asked the idiot to cut it all of to a length of about 2-3mm Well a few weeks since the whole thing and omg the patches had reappeared. i figured it was cos 2-3mm wasnt enough,so i went back nad asked for a full shave off. that was a few days ago and i looked in a miror and 2 my horrorr...yeah theyre coming back.within 1-2 weeks theyll be as patchy and visible. god i dont know what to do... i really hope the plucked hairs will grow back..sometime? how long will it take? say they were plucked out like a month ago and still arent growing evenly after going bald...argh i hope its not permanent.. Guest
I saw your post on another site. Do you mind saying what kind of mistake was it? Senior Member homer Posted May 26, 2003 Senior Member Share Posted May 26, 2003 If you are not suffering from Male pattern baldness then you should not worry too much about the hair that has been plucked out, for hair will grow in its place. Keep in mind that people lose around 30/40 hairs a day on average and that these hairs are replaced if a person is not sufferring from MPB. It may however take some time for the plucked area to return to thickness it was before. To be honest i am finding it hard to understand how your hair was plucked out at the hairdressers in the first place, if you describe your situation more perhaps people will be able to help you more. somedude
i remember feeling a tingly sort of sensation on the sides of my head while the electric razor was put on it and after the haircut it seemed as though large areas on the sides had hair missing and it looked patchy and uneven. I am pretty sure i dont have any hair balding conditions. im sorry if my explanation was vague but im trying to put it as clearly as possible. imagine having normal hair on the sides of your head. but then large bunches of hair gets plucked out in places. now the hair on the side seems very unevenly placed about and thin. even when it grows back there are places in those patchy areas growing back faster than the rest, while some parts even seems to have little to no growth weeks after the cut. how do i solve this and how long would a cure to the problem take? Guest
So you are sure the electric razor was defective ? You confirmed this with the person that cut your hair ?

Guest
I wouldnt worry to much...Did you have bleeding and notice small holes in your head at all? Unless you damaged the follicle, then your hair will grow back. It may take awhile, if the follicle went through any sort of shock. i would just give it some time. somedude
no small holes and no bleeding, thank god so it will take time? ok so thanks for letting me know that it will grow back,i just want a rough estimate now of how long it will take for the patchy places to return to its normal thicker status
