shanshiel
I was wondering if any of you have experienced hairr loss which is kind of uneven at the hairline. I am a 24 year old who has been losing hair since I was 20. I have pretty long hair that can be back in a pony tail. It seems there is a lot more hair loss on the left side of my hairline than the right. I don't know if anyone else has experienced this. I have been on propecia for about 3 years and I am using saw palmetto, rogaine 5% and nizoral 2%. I really only use the rogaine on the left side of my hairline 3x daily, and the hair still keeps going away, whereas the right is pretty much stable. It's kind of weird. Just wanted to take a poll on how other people lost there hair. Pretty much I have only had substantial hair loss on the left side of my front hairline; the right side is a norwood 2 at best and the left is a 3, with no loss and just a bit of thinning on the back. I dunno, it could be just that my long hair is causing the abnormality between the two sides?

Guest
My hairloss is much like yours in that one temple (right) is receeding about twice as much as the other. I have no hairloss on the crown and the top right of my head is thinner then the top left. Unfortunately, hairloss comes in all shapes and sizes. My hairloss pattern does not seem to fit into any of the Norwood levels. The Nrwood scale does not seem to includ men with diffuse thinning. Just hair losses in various regions of the scalp. Actually, I don't think I really fit any of the female pattern hairloss scale (forgot the name of it). Does anyone else find this to be the case?? Is there anything special that should be taken for diffuse thinning besides propecia and rogain?? No snake oils please.
Guest
I too have experienced uneven loss. I asked a few Docs about this and it is unfortunate that we must lose hair but that it sometimes is uneven as well.
