When it is safe to use Toppik after an hair transplant?

I just got my 2nd HT done with Dr. Shapiro the other day. Got about 2600 grafts - filled in mostly the crown area and some on the front. To place the grafts on the front, Dr Shapiro had cut my hair on the front very short. I was initially hoping to cover my native hair on these transplants on the front so the grafts would not be visible. But with the hair being cut so short. I don't have that option. Since i need to get back to work in a week's time, is it safe to use toppik over the grafted areas about 7 days after the transplant? can anyone offer any other suggestions?

Thanks

Reference your question about toppik- I am using it also. I have been applying it to the grafted areas, and am waiting for better coverage to fill in and for the shockloss to stop. I asked Dr. Limmer in San Antonio, and was told that toppik would be ok to use, but you need to wait for the scabs to flake off the scalp. I started using it about 30 days after my procedure. I am currently just shy of 5 months post op, and am dealing with the shockloss. The grafts are coming in just fine. Good luck..... CJS
