goCards
Hi all, I am 7.5 months post op strip HT with a very reputable doc who is endorsed on this site. I had just about 2000 grafts, but have yet to see any growth. My doc says it is unusual to not see growth by this time, but can happen and not worry. When I was 2 weeks post op and all the hair was there things looked great till the shedding period began. Just curious if any of your other chaps have had a similar experience and when you saw growth begin. Thank you

Senior Member Mark H Posted October 16, 2006 Senior Member Share Posted October 16, 2006 Who's your doctor? Do you have pictures? 7.5 months is nearing the time when you should see serious results, although it is true that it can take a year or more to see full results. Most though, would be seeing most of what they're going to get by the 8 month period I think. So I think you have some reason for concern. Give more details and pictures if possible, and you'll get lots of responses from folks more experienced than I. I got an HT only a month ago. cheers, mark h My Hair Loss Weblog
Regular Member angel706 Posted October 17, 2006 Regular Member Share Posted October 17, 2006 Seconding Mark H... Who's your doc, and can you post any photos? Were the grafts placed in an area where there was native hair? Because if so, you could have suffered some shock loss. This can actually make things look worse before they look better.
