Folica is correct. In fact, the only shampoo that might be helpful in combatting hairloss is Nizoral 1% or 2%, however, since it's advised not to use this every day because it will dry out your hair and scalp...I'd suggest considering using it as "gravy" to finasteride and/or minoxodil. There is no shampoo that will work as a stand-alone treatment.

many people have experienced hair loss as a result of using head and shoulders shampoo... i'm 16 and me and my mom both have experienced hair loss. plus, google "head and shoulders, hair loss" and trust me you will find quite a few people saying they also experienced hair loss, although there doesnt seem to be any medical explanation. My hair (shoulder length) have been falling out in huge handfuls daily, everytimei brush my hair, and whenever i wash it. Plus i deposit random hair strands everywhere i go, in school and at home. My mom had used it for a year or so while experiencing the same hair loss, and we both just thought it was due to aging. But we've both stopped using it, and her hair loss has stopped, and ive been losing less hair.

btw, the shampoos we used were the intensive treatment ones - both the regular white-bottled kind, and the kind containing selenium (in the dark blue bottle)

I have never heard of head and shoulders "causing" hairloss. The only thing I could assume was an allergic reaction???

 

No shampoo really regrows hair or causes hairloss. Nizoral studies indicate it has anti DHT effects and increases hair count but it certainly won't regrow hair
