Senior Member MrJobi Posted October 8, 2006 Senior Member Share Posted October 8, 2006 Hi Dave I would personally wait a month or so..As far as who does it, you can go to a regular stylist but make sure they don't cut the donor area too short or your scar will show I think I have waited 2 months in my 2 procedures JOBI 1417 FUT - Dr. True 1476 FUT - Dr. True 2124 FUT - Dr. True 604 FUE - Dr. True My views are based on my personal experiences, research and objective observations. Bill - Seemiller
I think waiting a month is a wise idea, though technically you are probably fine to go 2 weeks post op. You can go to a regular barber. Or if you are like me and keep your hair short, just cut your own hair with clippers like I do. That way you are extra careful! Senior Member MrJobi Posted October 11, 2006 Senior Member Share Posted October 11, 2006 Bills right Be careful.. I remember I went for a haircut after my 2nd procedure and told the lady to go down ONE level on the clippers in the donor area.. The Dumb @#$%^ went too short and I had a big smiley face on the back of my head. I had to cover it each day with Dermatch for about 2 weeks until it grew in ... So Bill, How as everything with H & W ?? Like me you had your procedure with Dr. True.. Any feedback ? Regular Member NikkiJ Posted October 11, 2006 Regular Member Share Posted October 11, 2006 I would recommend asking your physician for a referral that is a client of his. Most hair restoration surgeons have a large amount of patients that are stylists, and so they will most likely be more careful around the donor area, etc., whereas another stylist that hasn't been exposed to hair restoration might not.
