Senior Member dhuge67 Posted May 19, 2006 Senior Member Share Posted May 19, 2006 I've been using Nizoral, on and off with other, "normal" shampoos and I still have some itchiness. Is there something I should be doing or am not doing? Thanks 1,614 with Dr. Pistone on 2/3/06 in Marlton, NJ. Senior Member kamin Posted May 19, 2006 Senior Member Share Posted May 19, 2006 I just started using 1% Nizoral a few weeks ago. I'm using it on Tuesdays and Saturdays. After massaging the scalp with the shampoo for about a minute, I leave it in for 3-5 minutes to allow the active ingredient to penetrate the scalp even more. Then rinse. So far, I haven't run into any problems in regards to itchiness, dryness, etc. Probably too early to tell.

I'm just wondering because the directions on the container say to use it 3-4 days a week. Let me know how it goes... 1,614 with Dr. Pistone on 2/3/06 in Marlton, NJ. Senior Member GuitarPlayer Posted May 21, 2006 Senior Member Share Posted May 21, 2006 Dhuge67, Do you use any minoxidil products? I have found that the Neutrogena products (T-Gel, T-Sal) work extremely well for the itchiness caused by minoxidil. GuitarPlayer
