Regular Member Davidjhonda Posted November 17, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted November 17, 2008 Hi, This is a great forum. Thank you to everyone who has answered my questions in the past. I had a HT 7 weeks ago tomorrow. At this point, there is no shedding of the transplanted grafts. They are growing slightly...but still very short. I've read that the "sooner you lose them...the sooner the new ones will grow". Any clue what this might mean to me? Am I still going to lose the transplanted grafts? Does this mean the typical period for re-growth will be longer? Thanks!
Senior Member Eman Posted November 17, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted November 17, 2008 david- most people eventually shed. I am about the same point as you and am still shedding hairs. I have heard of those that don't, although very rare, but you may be one of the lucky ones who doesn't shed all that much. Are you normally washing the recipient site at this point? My initial HT thread: done and done!! Check it out...
Regular Member Davidjhonda Posted November 17, 2008 Author Regular Member Share Posted November 17, 2008 Hi, I have been washing the recipient site normally...have been doing so since about 10 days after the HT. I wasn't aware that some people don't shed. Maybe I am one of the rare cases. I haven't had much "shock loss" either. Thanks, David
Senior Member Desperately Seeking Hair Posted November 17, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted November 17, 2008 You will lose the transplanted grafts but they will grow back. I don't know if there is any truth to faster growth if you lose them sooner.
