Senior Member dhuge67 Posted January 26, 2006 Senior Member Share Posted January 26, 2006 Where to buy? How much is too much to pay? 1 mg tablets? Is a cheaper, generic version an alternative or is it bunk? Thanks Chris 1,614 with Dr. Pistone on 2/3/06 in Marlton, NJ. Senior Member hairbank Posted January 26, 2006 Senior Member Share Posted January 26, 2006 Chris, I don't use it now but have been recently looking into it so I have a little info for you. First, instead of Propecia, many order Proscar (because it's cheaper), which is the EXACT SAME THING as Propecia but is in 5 mg tablets instead of 1 mg so you have to cut them with a pill cutter. I think several individuals cut them in 4ths so the dosage would be 1.25 mg, to be exact. If you order proscar, you should be able buy it for around $60 for 28-30 tablets. Now, since your cutting them into 4ths, that supply will last you around 4 months. Where to buy...........you can most likely get a prescription from a local Doctor, or, you can order online. I've not purchased any either way for a long time so maybe someone else from the site can refer you? From my search, the generic version didn't seem that much cheaper and I've not heard anything about it.
