Anyone been to Dr. Jack Fisher in Nashville?
Bowlforthedog replied to Bowlforthedog's topic in Open Hair Loss Topics
Sorry for being tardy on my post about meeting with him. I did enjoy my consultation with him. Unfortunately, with my situation being unique not a good way. Meaning that I had about 6 surgerys at a young age and with that being done he told me to come back and see him in 6 months. I am starting to consult with other doctors too about scar revision. That is my main goal in talking with other doctors at this point. I thought that he had a lot of integrity about what he does, and felt he was very good. I believe that he is this business for the right reasons. I hope this helps and yes I would recommend that you go see him for yourself. I just want to see about getting the scarring minimized and possibly taking the hair from the scar to the front hairline, if that is possible. In 2008 I will hopefully see Hason & Wong and some others. Just look at all your options don't just dive in and use the first doctor you see....Also I am not sure that he is the best doctor for my needs. -
I would recommend FUZZY that you really think about this. I am not going into details....But listen to what HAIRHERE said. I know from experience...DO NOT MESS AROUND WITH THIS. Save money, then go. Don't get all emotionally involved as I did and now am having to deal with the problem of scarring and I am only 31... Go to the DOCTORS recommended on this site starting with what HARIHERE recommends... You don't want to deall with a F'ED UP BACK OF THE HEAD.. TRUST ME~!

No choice possibly being my case since I had six surgerys at a young age. I am now 31. I went to see Dr. Fisher in Nashville, TN last week. I went in there to see him in regards to my situation.I really liked him and he seem to be in this business for the right reasons. Although my outlook DOES NOT LOOK GOOD. He said that he wanted to see me back in six months for another review. The whole damn PROBLEM is that I had to many procedures done in the early 90s. And now I am totally screwed. The biggest concern that I have is the scarring on the back of my head. Hell I am only 31 and the scarring can be notice able after taking a shower. I just DON'T know what to do but Go and see other doctors and see what their opinon is on this mess. Unfortunately, I cannot shave my head either because it will look like complete crap. I am worried mainly about the future loss and the donor area thinning even more! Then what do I do if the scar is visibly notice able to the naked eye? If anyone has any ideas on any HIGH QUALITY doctors that can do excellent work to possibly remove some of the scarring on the back of the head please let me know. The reason I am asking about removing all of the hair permanently is because if there is nothing that can be done surgery wise, then I am going to have to consider what my options are. What am I suppose to do if this happens? I know that I have only been to one doctor and I will see what the others can possibly do to help. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

You will feel better when the results start coming in. And you see new hair.... -
Hello I folks. I was wondering what are some of the best methods to fix scarring? Can surgery be done to remove some of the scarring on the back of the head? I know that hair can be transplantd back into the area that it was taken from to build up density. But are there other ways to help with this problem?

Is it ok to color TP hair after the scalp has healed an the hairs have come in? Would having the hair colored blonde add more desity maybe? Or is it BEST to just keep the hair short? I am just thin at this point in time and am wanting to do something to help me get through this time period till I get to a DOCTOR that will take good care of me unlike my last one. Which that was in the mid 90s. I am going to hopefully go to HW in a few months to get some necessary fill in work done and some scar repair... Man I am dredding it but it will be worth it. Kind of nervous really.
