Hi All, I got my procedure done on 24th Aprl with Dr. Bernstein.My scar has healead nicely but I am bit worried about following things. 1.In post op package the information paper says scabs will be gone in 2-3 days but I still have scabs that are dry and very hard. I am not poking or pulling on them but when ever they come off they have a newly transplanted hair with them. In short they are falling along with my new hair. I am really worried about this. Is this normal? Can anything be done to get rid of scabs quickly without losing new hair? 2. I am taking 1/4th of propecia every day but I am losing lot of old hair in donor area, scalp and probably all over the head. I am really worried about this. Is this normal? What can be done to stop this? Let me know please. Nick

Posted April 17, 2008 01:46 PM Hi ccexxp1, I am going to get HT done by Dr. Bernstien next week. I have heard a lot of good things about him. I am in CA and I am flying to NY. I am 36 and NW6 and he recommended 2500 grafts. But stragely, I am less worried about my hairline and more about other things. 1. What are the chances of one getting serious infection from the procedure ( Dr. Bernstien's clinic). Hepities? HIV? any other? 2. What does Dr. Bernstien does to control the infection during and after the procedure. 3. What do you think about his staff. Do they take all the needed precautions against infections? Even though I went ahead and made all the arrangements, leave from job, flight and hotel etc. I am having second thoughts on account of the above concerns. So if people can tell me their experiences with Dr. Bernstien and his staff I would appreciate it.
