  1. To be honest I've taken Dr Ferudini off my list of hair transplant doctors. I made a very positive post about him on here in January and asked for his reply(and pm'ed him). I got a reply from his staff in March apologising for the delay and that he would respond asap. Still no reply. I sent two other messages to him afterwards and no reply whatsoever. It might seem trivial as I realise that I should judge him on results. But when the offices of Feller, H&W and Shapiro immediately respond then I expect other people to do the same. I want to know that a clinic has perfect administration and are easily contactable (what if something went wrong after my procedure). I feel that Dr Ferudini is glad to use this site to promote his results and become a coalition member, but judging by his lack of response, he's obviously not prepared to offer anything else to the community on this site.
  2. Still waiting for a reply from Dr Ferudini after I posted this very complimentary message/question about him in January. One of his reps got back to me by PM in March and apologised for not responding sooner and said he would asap. I chased him up again but no reply. Dr Ferudini is very much on my list of choice of surgeons but slightly dissapointed at no reply considering his surgery posts on here. And thanks for the info Bill - very very helpful
  3. Hi Sparse I know I'm new on here but have researched this issue for months as I was very concerned about it. I litterally searched every hair loss forum and found every single post on this issue. Jotronic made one post and I'm pretty sure he said that if you can move an inch that is very good laxity and 1/2 inch may not be so good (hope Jo will put me right if I've misquoted him). I also heard other guys say that if you can pinch 'any' skin then that is good laxity and they had been told this by surgeons(pinch at the back where the strip is and not at the sides where most people can pinch). I also heard some consultants say only a surgeon can determine this as there are so many variables. I don't remember that much about this and I've never be assessed on my laxity. However, litterally do a search on all the hair loss forums. Just do a subject search and type in the word 'laxity'. This word is very specific and you'll get a great idea from guys who have been asssessed
  4. Hi Dr Feller/Spex I was just wondering if your new FUE tool will increase the number of FUE candidates. In the past you have stated that some people are not FUE candidates (and after testing them you have offered them strip instead). Will these people now be candidates? Also, my second question is - will this new tool increase the FUE yield that patients will get and will it now match strip? Finally, I'd like to commend you on your remarkable innovative skills - the fact that another respected surgeon is already using this tool is a credit to your surgery. (edit - Bill: could you move this to the correct forum - my mistake sorry)
  5. Thanks Dr Feller I've not made many posts but I've been a member and long-time lurker for years. Your transparancy and results are why you are my first choice of surgeon at the moment. I've still got a lot of research to do before I make my final decision but thank you for taking the time to respond thanks Asa
  6. Hi Petchski Yes I've read that thread and Dr FelleR states it is less than 2% (and I am a virgin patient which I assume would mean less). To be honest, Dr Feller is so visible online we would know if this wasn't true. However, I can only remember seeing two relatively unhappy patients of Dr Feller on all the forums so this must be true. I would still like spex to confirm that it is 2% or less. Hair transplants make everyone nervous (like all surgery), so to have a Dr like Feller state theses figures fills me with optimism. I'd also like to see that thread where Dr feller discusses in detail how rare a 'low-yield' is (I'm sure he mentions how small the figure is compared to how many patients he sees - and he provides exact figures). Can anyone provide me with the link? thanks ASA
  7. Hi Spex Thanks for the advice - that makes sense and thats why I trust Dr Feller and yourself for your honesty. I found one therad where dr feller says low yield is less than 2% in his practice (this is very low risk I believe). This would seem in keeping with your estimate of 2/3 low yield results a year (can you tell me spex how many patients dr feller transplants each year) Also do you remember the Dr Feller thread where he gave more detailed info. I've tried doing a search but I can't find it. Or does anyone else out there have a link to the post by Dr Feller where he talkked about how many patients get a low yield. Also, would be good to hear from other surgeons/reps/Bill on this issue. Thanks Asa edited as found one link
  8. Hi Spex Thanks for the reply. I don't want to push you on this but do we have any rough estimates. It's just it would be great if you could provide a rough figure - 5%, 10%. I'm pretty sure Dr Feller made a post previously where he said he had only be contacted in the last year by 2/3 patients about poor growth - can you point me to that post (I think it was on a case whereby there had been poor growth and Dr feller was saying how rare it was - correct me if I'm wrong. As Dr Feller must see hundreds of patients per year, if I am correct and that was his post, then I would be more than happy to go ahead with a HT because that is an absolutely tiny percentage. So would be grateful for the link to that post as I can't find it (incidentally, Dr Feller is my number choice at the moment) thanks Asa
  9. Hi All, I was just wondering what percentage of virgin scalps recieve poor growth (with top surgeons). I remember Dr Armani stating it was between 1-5% (so is that one in twenty or one in a hundred) I realise that poor yield is an issue with all surgeons so how common is it? And how poor is poor (no growth at all or just under-average?) and can it be fixed with a second session? I am basically concerned that I'll go through the whole process only to find that I get poor growth that can't be fixed. I look forward to the responses of people like Dr Feller/Spex/Jotronic/Bill etc (or any others who have information on this issue). many thanks Asa

  11. I realise Mr Ferudini must be a busy man (I'd rather him concentrate on his patients than the forums....lol) But I'd still really like to hear his response to my (complimentary) post/question that I addressed to him a couple of months ago kind regards ASA
  12. Hi guys and gals I don't post often but I do come here regularly and really enjoy the site. I hope I can ask a question about Dr Armani on here as I am not allowed to on HLH. I can't say that I'm the biggest fan of Dr Armani (I had a consulation with him once and he was very salesmanlike) But a few years ago he was regarded as a very skilled strip surgeon (although there seemed to be a lot of controversy about him front-packing grafts - particularly on young patients) Yet now he's doing FUE his reputation has gone down-hill in my opinion (with results like Sting-ray) So why did he switch? He must have been confident about FUE because otherwise he risked losing his reputation. I know FUE might generate more money for a surgeon but if you thought you'd get bad fue results you'd obviously know that it wouldn't take long to get to the forums and the clients would stop coming. I'm interested in this topic really as I would like to have FUE (although I wouldn't choose Armani) but I can't understand why a surgeon would change to FUE unless he/she was confident in the method. cheers Asa
