  1. When conducting a hairline ht on a NW2 does the doctor shave the area where the transplant will occur during the day of the ht? Just wondering if I can go back to work un-noticed after a week? Any feedback is appreciated.
  2. A doctor I am considering advertises that he does "mega sessions" at 1000 to 1500 graphs. Is this amount considered a mega session?

  6. I had the same issue up to 9 months after my ht. The doctor recommended letting warm water run on them. I broke them and had no major issues. The same issue also occured in my donor scar up to 14 months post op.
  7. I have heard alot of posotive feedback from people receiving consultations from Dr. Fisher in Nashville but have not heard anything from actual patients receiving a ht from him. If someone has received a ht from Dr. Fisher could you please let me know how your experience was.

  9. Thanks for the info... I am 37 yrs old. Is Proscar the generic version of Propecia? Does it attain the same results as Propecia? Most doctors I have visited only write prescriptions for Propecia.
  10. Thanks ts808... My Dr. in Nashville actually advised me to take Propecia for 9 months then to come back and see him. He quoted 800-1000 graphs for $4500. After reading posts that seems a little high...
  11. I have lost hair from the hairline back an inch or so. I have gone from the spiked look to the laydown look. My question is wheter or not 1000 graphs will make a significant difference. Any feedback is appreciated.

  13. After reading this forum for a few months I have decided to go with either doctors Cooley, Shapiro, or Rose. Do they conduct online (with pictures) or phone consultations or do you have to fly out for a consultation then fly back again for the procedure. After an out of town procedure do you need to fly back to the doctor to have the sutures removed? I know there are a lot of different opinions out there but who from above is the best HT surgeon?

  15. I need help on two quotes I have received. The first quote was to transplant 2500 hairs for $6800. When I asked about the # of graphs this would be I was told that each graph has a different numbers of hairs so they could not quote graphs only the number of hairs. The second quote I received was for 800 to 1000 graphs for $4500 (plus a $500 office/lab fee). Which quote gives more coverage or are they the same? One last question...On a second HT is it better to use the existing scar or create another? Any assistance is greatly appreciated....

  19. I just received a consultation from a top rated doctor in my area. He advised that he would only give 1000 graphs in my hairline because the hair behind it could fallout overtime and it would look un-natural. He also advised that he would graph appx 1 cm above my hairline because the hairline is low (thinning) and this would look more natural if the front row of thinning hair fell out (creating a higher hairline). He stated that a higher amount of graphs would overlap the good hair and cause it to fall out. I know this is tough to comprehend without pictures but does this make sense to anyone?
