  1. Firstly im glad i stumbled on this great site... but after reading posts here im getting a little freaked out. I live in Taiwan and it seems so far from any of the recommended docs here. The guy im seeing has a great reputation (apparently) and was also recommended to me by another well known Dr here. He describes himself as the pioneer of HT in Taiwan. I know he travels to the meeting overseas and was at the most recent one in September. I'm sure someone must know this guy. I have been saving money for the last year for this and cant afford the time off work or the money to travel overseas for my transplant. Ive got an appointment on thursday to discuss things with him and really need some advise to find out if ive chosen the right option and if this guy is the real deal or i am getting over my head. Possibly, this Dr is great and im making the right decision but... how can i know for sure?? What can i do / ask etc when i go for my appointment to find out for sure and put my mind at rest?? Does ANYONE have any contacts or know anyone who can verify this doctors work for me? Im not experienced enough to know what to look for when finding a HT surgeon by myself! I'm stressing out and would fully appreciate any assistance so i can have a great experience so i can share my success story on this site later! help anyone... Marcus~

  3. looks pretty good to me man! Not the slightest bit of redness and a smooth coverage. I wish my transplanted area looked as good as that after two weeks. I rushed into my transplant and was lucky i only had 600 grafts. After seeing your photos its clear i chose the wrong doctor. Congrats... will be good to see when it grows in after a few more months.
  4. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hi Doc, Wont another strip be way too obvious with buzzed hair? Also, with scar revision, will some hair be lost during the surgery, and if so can the patient request this be used for transplant? Also, i have another post looking for advice transplant docs in Taiwan where im working now. I know they're pretty on the ball with all the cosmetic surgery here, but still want to do my homework first. I dont suppose you have any collegues who has heard of anyone here and can help me verify thier work? Thx alot for the advice!
  5. hihi~ Just trying to do some homework before my second transplant. Ive had a strip HT of about 600 grafts about 2 years ago but due to further thinning I need another one of about 600 to increase density in the temples and repair the strip scar. Problem is, because of work i have limited time off and am worried about scabbing. This makes my only option FUE im guessing. Also I want to buzz my head to about 1/2 inch before the transplant to minimize my slightly thinning look and when the hair grows in the difference in length wont be too obvious. My question is, with short hair, how long will i need to worry about the "just been transplanted" look with an FUE in the temple/hairline area after surgery? Can i reduce this if i do two surgeries of 300 grafts instead of one? Also, I need some grafts planted into my strip scar. How obvious will all this look at 5 days after transplant with a buzz cut? Has anyone had a similar situation? Any suggestions would be fully appreciated!
