  1. 540 FIT by Dr Paul Rose The Beginning Ok I was the same as the rest of the folks posting up here, hiding under caps even in summer, standing away from mirrors and not liking bright lights around the top of my head. Tried a few different things, pills and potions but nothing really worked for my frontal hairline and I'm not really into inspecting my hair for the tiny little bits of growth on a day to day basis. I didn't want to get obsessed with my hair, life's to short, I just wanted to fix the problem and get on with living the way I used to before I used to worry about my hair line all the time. I'm not really into forums or posting msgs up as I like to spend a lot of my time out of the house, but I needed to fix my problem so went on search for the answer. I found this forum very very helpful and would have been lost without it. I can't even remember how I found this site, google helped there I guess. So I felt I had to relay my experience because of all the help this site has given me. So after thinking long and hard I decided to start saving some cash up, then thought who should I go to, what doc is right for me. Hairline is in my opinion one of the most important parts to get right as it's right there up front for all to see. The Middle So I knew I wanted to go with one of the coalition of ultra refined surgeons, and came close to going to someone in new york as the flight times are shorter, (oh never even crossed my mind to go see someone in the uk, too many horror stories, they just haven't been doing it as long). Then I thought about arriving in new york on my own, and in a crazy busy place like new york. So brain wave, why not go to Tampa, it's hot and seemed less intimidating than new york. It turned out to be a great choice, it was a really laid back holiday place which suited my down to the ground. I stayed in a holiday inn 10 mins from airport in Tampa, with a nice room and pool for ??50 a night with breakfast. It was also close to a great bar / restaurant 30 secs walk away. I also new I was in good hands choosing Dr Paul T Rose as he has had great reviews and works closely with Dr Ron Sharipo. I had a nice few days to chill out poolside reading a book and eating well before surgery. Monday I had my bloodwork done, took 5 mins, all good, the medical centre where I had my bloodwork was the same place as I had my surgery, so all nice and easy, which was only 10 mins taxi ride from the holiday inn. Tuesday, arrived at medical centre at 7:00 to start the surgery, I sat down with Paul and talked long about what I wanted to achieve and discussed various aspects of the procedure. Paul is a real top guy, very calm, very easy going, very friendly and funny, he has a dry sense of humour (very UK like). After we spoke about what I wanted to achieve everybody got ready and started to go to work. I felt no pain throughout any of the process, the extracting of the hair from the doner site was painless apart from being on my front for fairly long periods of time, but that was my choice as I was on a clock to catch my plane, nothing more than a few pins and needles in my arms and any time I wanted to break I could. Before I knew it Paul was saying do you want chicken for lunch, which I'm glad I did, it was very nice. Then back to it more grafts from doner area, then Paul asked if I wanted to see them which was very interesting. After all the grafts had been taken out, it was time to change rooms, get some anaesthetic into my forehead. Then all the slits were made by Paul, then Paul and his team started putting all those hairs back into the front. I watched batman begins while two of the lovely ladies placed the grafts along with Paul. I was then given some light bandaging which fitted neatly under my baseball cap. I felt I didn't have enough time to thank everyone as much as I would have liked as I had to catch my plane. I was then taken to the airport by Dr Pauls secretary Katie (very nice girl) and off I went onto the plane back home. What can I say, if you are thinking about it, do your research, but if you're reading this you already are, and you're in the right place for that. Choose a great Dr like Dr Paul Rose and just go do it, don't sit around worrying there really is nothing to worry about. The End I would very much like to thank all at Dr Pauls Rose's surgery for there hard work and dedication to making sure I was comfortable and at ease throughout. Paul has a great team and I was made to feel very relaxed. I am now back home and can not tell I've had anything done at all, apart from some slight swelling around the front of my forehead and bridge of the my nose. Obviously I was nervous about having the procedure, but I honestly can say once I arrived and settled down, and had a chat with Paul about what we were going to do I was completely at ease. Paul and his team really looked after me well, giving me first class service, and a great lunch to. I would recommend Dr Paul to anyone thinking about having FIT. I am very happy with what's been done and am looking forward to seeing those little hairs grow through in time. I would like to thank all of your team the names of which escape me now but everybody carried out a sterling job. Thanks again Paul, I really appreciate your skill, professionalism, advice, and care throughout.
