Is there anything herbal I can at least try

I am losing a lot of hair, and need something fast, as I am having a hair treatment in a few weeks. I just want something to partially halt the loss. Is there a medical pill for women? I have been instructed to use pureology shampoo and cond for the salon treatment, so monoxidil or rogaine is not an option. If you know of anything at all, let me know. I am trying iron now. -
