  1. Hello everyone, I need your thoughts my donor density. I have a surgery coming up soon but i am a little worried whether my donor density is enough to cover the scar the i will end up with. Please look at my picture and give me honest answers.
  2. Hi, I have got a surgery booked in about two/three weeks with Dr Path and i have been on propecia for about a year but not minoxidil. Propecia seemed to have stopped my hair loss. My question is should i start minoxidil now even though i got a surgery very soon. Or should i start it after my surgery in 2 - 3 weeks time. I heard after starting minoxidil, hair shedding continues for about two weeks. ive learned from this forum that proecia is to stop hair loss and minoxidil is to promote hair loss and they both work in a seperate way. Also, if someone starts minoxidil, do they have to continue for the rest of their life? or else the hairs that grow from the effect of minoxidil fall out? (thats worring) Could the experts please clarify these issues about minoxidil.
  3. Thanks Mich and Sunny for your recommendations. Both hotels are close to sky train. But i think sena place looks more closer to the clinic. Anybody else care to share their experience in Bangkok hotels or places?
  4. Congrats! Pathspatient for your pleasant experience with Dr Path and Bangkok. I am actually due for a surgery as well in about three weeks. Im havnt booked my hotel yet. do you have any recommendations on where i should stay? Any of your advice will be greatly appreciated.
  5. Hi, After so much research on this great forum i have decided to go to Dr Path from UK to Thailand. My surgery date is in about three weeks. I have not booked hotel or my flight yet and need to do it now, within a day or two. But i do want to make sure i stay in the right place so that im able to travel to the clinic comfortably as well as see Bangkok! As i plan on staying about two weeks i want to make the most of it and not just sit in the hotel room every day. So, to all those fellow brothers who have had experience in bangkok, can you please recommned hotels with good facilities including internet, massage, shopping, sightseeing, or anything else that i must see or do while im there! Dr path clinic have sent me details of some local hotels but its always good to hear from this community. Much appreciated.
  6. Are you sure Govinda had a HT, because his hair looks like hairpiece. He styles his hair without showing his hairline, it must be hairpiece.
  7. Thanks to all, First of all im 27 years old and no matter what i have decided to have HT whether its FUE or strip, as i cannot live with my frontal hairloss. Its making my life miserable. Bill, I understand doing Strip first would be a wise option with a reputable doctor, but as explained above my scar is going to be above my 'nuchal ridge' which is higher up than where a normal scar would go. And because im a diffuse thinner it is highly likely that my scar would be hard to cover up, eventually if i end up as a nw6/7. Would you still recommend strip? Doing strip would most probably mean i would have to FUE into my scar, maybe after 6/7 years. Should i consider this option? Or should i just do FUE knowing that i will need bht to do my crown area for sure. I do not want to do FUE and then Strip. It does not make sense.
  8. Hi, I need some help. I do not know whether i should do strip or FUE. I have been following this forum for a while now & find it very helpful but the problem is cannot make up my mind. Im a diffuse thinner heading towards a nw6/7 eventually, not yet though. Right now i have front third which needs urgent attention. One thing to bear in mind is that i have a 'nuchal ridge' at the back of my head as shown in the pictures below. This means if my scar is above the nuchal ridge' and eventually (probably after 6/7 years) if i become a nw6/7 then my scar will be seen. The last thing i want is to be stuck with a scar which i cannot cover up after some years down the line. For this reason, im confused if i should do strip or FUE. With Fue i understand i will run out of donor, no doubts. But then i would take the risk of using body hairs or if the worst comes at least i know i can just leave my hair short. Please convey your thoughts on this situation. what should i do taking into account all the above?
  9. Its not a choice of whether i want to use leg hair or beard hair or chest. Quite simply i would run out of donor hair as soon as i start my HT journey. Im a diffuse thinner and i will need more hair than whats available on my donor eventually if i choose the FUE route. Beard hairs are better than leg hairs, i agree but how much beard hairs can you use before the beard looks thin or if a person is clean shaven! Thats why im thinking of alternative other than beard hairs. I have tooooo much leg hairs! lol i need to get rid of some.
  10. I understand it wont change in texture but if i put alot of leg hairs on my crown (still long way to go) it cant really be noticed i think as the safe hairs will be at the hairline and front 1/3. Am i right? The only problem is leg hairs probably wont grow long enough?
  11. Hi, I know there are very few doctors who carry out FUE using body hairs. I have seen someone on another forum using chest hairs. But is it also possible to do FUE with leg hairs?
  12. Thanks everyone for your input. ALso, Where should the scar go for the best result (in terms of grafts, laxity, scar size, future loss etc.) Under the 'nuchal ridge' or below or on it. Perhaps, if anyone with 'nuchal ridge' out there who had a strip HT can put their outcome. That would be great.
  13. Hello, I wanted to find out how difficult it is to close scars on skulp shapes like mine as shown below. I cant explain the shape, but the back of my head has a pointing sort of bone. Im wondering once i have a scar at the back if it will stretch due to tension (because of the shape of the skulp). Please let me know your thoughts on this as im thinking of doing a HT via FUT.
