quick update. I`ve now received a copy of their defence. Just filling in the court questionnaire which is to be sent off and then await a court date. It appears a pretty routine defence with no mention/answers of the questions i put to them regarding peer reviewed evidence etc.. If anyone wants to contribute their thoughts pls feel free.

Just a thought...... Are other people allowed in to the small claim court when my case is being heard? I`ve been speaking to someone who i would like to cover the whole story. Also any recommendations from you guys as to who to notify in any official capacity? Thanks in advance.

Just an update on my claim via small claims court against AHS. They have today entered a defence online and i`m just waiting for confirmation by post and a court date. And i`m still waiting for Maueve to get in touch with me again as per her post earlier in this thread. This was with Head Office apparently reviewing my request again. I look forward to the court date and will go with all my evidence and let the courts see for themselves. I`ll keep all updated. Chris

Hi Mauve. My name is Chris, and i have recently been in touch with you regarding a complaint about being mis-sold laser from your Companys Manchester office. Whilst the salesman originally offered me 50% refund after receiving my first letter of complaint, this was followed up by a letter from yourself saying no refund would be given. Whilst you yourself may not mis-represent the facts to your clients others definately do just so they can get their commission. They even wrote "bald as a coot" on the top of the notes accompanying my medical questionnaire! As AHS will be aware i started legal proceedings thru the small claims court today as despite numerous requests for a refund and/or peer reviewed evidence nothing has materialised. I must state to all posters though that on speaking to Maeve she has always been courteous and promptly replies to letters.

Hi, there 40 days on my SAR is now up and they haven`t replied to my last request for peer approved research that laser works. About to start court proceedings via money claim online. I am determined that they will not win this.

My situation is exactly the same with a few additions...... i am currently trying to get my money back. I sent a letter saying i believed i was mis-sold the laser treatment and gave them 7 days to respond. The consultant who sold it me rang me and accused me of trying to wreck his career etc...etc... He offered a brand new course which i turned down. Then he offered ??1500 to "put this issue to bed". Again i declined, even though tempted.I asked him to put that in writing. Never received that but did receive letter from Mauve Duhy saying she has spoken to the consultant and he says my letter is untrue and therefore they are not offering a refund as per the contract. SO, i sent a Subject Access Request under the Data Protection Act requesting all documents relating to me including the original medical questionnaire which i was originally told was destroyed by there Manchester branch.The reason i specifically requested the questionnaire was that on one occassion in the consultant office, i caught sight of the questionairre and on it was written "bald as a coot". I pointed this out and received an apology. On the copy questionnaire i received today there was no comment on it, but there was a small pen mark where i think it was. In my SAR i requested contract, questionnaire and a copy of the medical approval by a qualified doctor for me to proceed with laser treatment as i didn`t believe they saught any, which in there contract states is one of there obligations. I NEVER RECEIVED A COPY OF THAT AUTHORISATION. I really would appreciate some advice on this. PLease can someone help, there is loads more to say about this case. thanks Chris
