  1. ForrestGump, Thanks for the quick response..So not taking these medicines doesn't affect the health of transplanted hair in anyway, right? And are the side effects mentioned all false? Thanks, Harry
  2. Friends, I have been in consultation with a few docs in Bangalore for an HT for sometime now. Still in the research phase From what I gathered from the docs, I need 1000-1200 grafts. After my HT, do I need to take the medicines prescribed forever? Cos I hear that if u stop using these, the effect of growing hair ceases. Can I therefore opt not to take these medicines and just have an HT done? (Of course I will be risking balding at places where HT isn't done, but am ready to take a gamble on that)... This is because I had read about side effects of using Finasteride for long time, which seem to be worse than having a few hairs extra on my head.. These include reduction in stamina (for playing sport as well as reduction in sexual drive) and hypertension among others.. The folks who have had an HT, please let me know if these medicines are optional after HT. Thanks, Harry
