I know, Cole office they keep emailing me and when you have someone that keeps emailing you about HT it means they are desperate.

Can anyone recommend which doctor is better to go to Dr Wong and Hasson or Dr Umar. I may need BHT for the crown and it seems Wong and Hasson do not do BHT?

Hi Guys, It has been awhile since I have posted here, to be exact it was back in 2006. And thanks to Pat the issue I had with Dr True was resolved. I want to have HT, I was looking at Dr Wong and Hasson, but from what Dr True told me I have about 1500 to 2000 available in the donar area and the coverage would be 30/40 cm2... I have taken pictures of my head, the crown area, and the donor area and sent it to Dr Umar and he told me I need 4500 for the hairline and the front, 2500 for the middle and 3500 for the crown. I'm not sure if I need all that. I have attached my pics, I wear a system so what I did was I decided not to shave my head for 3 weeks so I have week one photo's then week 2 and then week 3. I have had previous HT in the mid 90s and late 90s with Dr True for a total of 2500 grafts.

L'Anonyme, He wanted to use the BHT for the crown and some on the top, doesn't want to use it for the hairline or the front he prefers the back of my head for the hairline and front. He did show me one pic of this guy who had a gap between his side hear and some leftover hair on the top and he filled the gap with the BHT and it didn't look bad at all. He then showed me some samples of hair he had taken of his patients after they had the bht and the hair grew. It looked no difference than the hair in the back, he did say once the BHT is done the hair forms the same charateristic as the hair that is from the back of the head.

Mark, Thanks for your reply. I should be staying at Holiday Inn Express too. lol Dr True wants to redo my hairline, since he said it looks to good. lol Anyways back to my pic, the middle hair (top of the head) befoe the crown area is my own hair still. But like you said the crown area is balding, still has some hair but lost most of it thats where the BHT comes in. He wants to take between 1500 to 2000 from the back of the head just for the hairline and most of the front and the mid section and crown we have to go with the body hair. From what he said he said the front will be to a point covered that I would be comfortable to not wear a system anymore. If Dr True can achive that and get the front to be pretty much covered, I would be happy. And definately do not want it thick like my system, I have to add gel to my system to make it more natural.

I have a quick questions, can someone tell me from the pics I have which is on page two, Dr True said he will do between 1500 to 2000 FU with 30/40 cm2 for the hairline behind it. I don't know much about the 30/40, but with 1500 to 2000 is it possible to get good coverage? I do have fine hair or I guess its sparse.

Dr. True showed me some of his patients sample hair both from the head and body and they looked pretty much the same and they grew longer than they would have if they were still on the chest. I'm still 50 50 about doing it specially when it comes to BHT.

Hi Guys, Well I went to NYC and met with Dr.True and the meeting went well. He took his time and went over everything and answered all my questions. He said if I decide to go through with the HT, he can do around 1500 to 2000 from the back of the head and since I do have enough bodyhair (chest) the rest would be from the chest and the back. He showed me some examples of the body hair transplanted and compared them to the hair taken from the back donar area and they look pretty much the same. I just wanted to know if anyone on this forum had body transplant and how did it go? Thanks

Hey guys, I wanted to know with the FU, I noticed most people shave their head on the day of the surgery, so what happens if you have to be back at work in a week? What do you tell your coworkers?

Thanks to everyone for their word of encourgements. Right now I'm only going in for to see if anything can be done, one thing I don't like about the HT surgery is the pain and the swelling in the face. Its funny how you see these TV commercials for HT surgerys and how they claims you can be back at work the next day, yeah right! :-) Another thing is I started thinking if the HT procedures have advanced this far, I wonder what other advances we will see in the next 5 years?

Hi Guys, Today while I was at work I got a suprise call from Pat, which I wasn't expecting. A very nice guy and he knows what most of us are going through, he told me he has contacted Dr. True and that Dr. True wants to talk to me, which I agreed too. Tonight, Dr. True called and we had a good conversation about my HT and what had happened in the past and he explained to me the reasons why the surgery didn't go well as expected. There were situations that were out of his control, mostly to do with the other doctors in the office. He was kind enough to invite me to his office in NYC in 2 weeks time, I was suprised he volunteered to pay for the airplane ticket from DC to NYC and was even more suprised at his offer if I decide to go with the surgery it would be at no cost to me. I also want to say that I was incorrect when I said he promised me a full head of hair back then, he explained to me on the phone what he said extactly and he refreshed my memory. I guess I will leave that for him to post. I do want to thank Pat for taking the time to call me and help me with this.

I don't think he ever mentioned Propecia, the first time I heard about it was in 99 I think. Before the HT I did have hair, but according to Dr True those were the hair that would fall out anyways. It was thining out, I have to go and try to find some pics and scan them if I can.

If Pat has contacted Dr True, then I will email him and give him my permission. And for others thinking I'm here to push Farrell system, trust me I got my friend to get a Farrell system and he threw it away after a week and not to mention he called their office and just went off on them. They really did a screw up job on his system, I guess I was the lucky one.

What is so fishy about this? Keep in my mind what I posted in the testimonial was 5 years ago and of course back then I was happy with the systems, but now I don't want to wear them anymore.

I will need to find a before the HT pic, at least now we have these pics. I was going to look for the CD to post these pics, but thanks to nikkop23 he found them. The pics without my system was taken in the hotel room the night before the system cut in, the next day the pic was taken at farrell office where there was less light.

you just made my life easier!! Yes those are my pics, it is from November 2001. Two or three years after the last surgery. So should I just email him and tell him he has my permission? I guess I can do that, I was hoping Pat could contact him instead.

Pat thanks for welcoming me on the forum. I had chance earlier today to go through the site and saw your profile and you nailed with the system being such a burden with the cleaning and maintaining. I have been thinking of the day to burn the systems once I get my own hair back. You are right, these days the systems are very good not even my close friends can detect them but it gets to a point where you just don't have the energy to keep up with the maintainece. About Dr True having my permission to post about my case, he is more than welcome to come on this site and we can hear his site of the story. I will say it now on this forum, he has my permission. When I signed up, I gave all my information so you should have it too. But if you like I can email with all my info. Once again I want to thank you and others on this site. I don't mind the questions, I just thought if anyone wants to go and get HT with Dr True you better do your home work and if you have too, whatever he says make sure you get it on paper. When I went to NYC to get the system I took digital pics with my orginal hair and after I got the system. I am going to see if I can find the CD with all the pics, if not then I have to take poloroid pics that I took couple of years ago and see if I can scan them.
