  1. Dear Administrator of this site, I was not able to attach multiple pictures so had to add them one at the time. Please include all pictures in one location for people to see, if possible. Thanks,

  4. Hi all, I am brand new to this site and don't make a habit out of endorsing anyone or any product unless I am totally thrilled with my experience without any buyers remorse. After wearing a hair system for about 16 years (well let's just call it that as opposed to the ugly "T" word), I finally to do something about it. Initially I shaved my head. It looked alright and even some people told me that it took about 10 years off of me. Still, I knew it in my heart that is not what I wanted. I always wanted to have hair and since I was 29, at the very first sign of baldness, I started wearing a hair system because I wanted to have hair. So naturally, I was not thrilled with being totally bald and look it. I even changed my clothing style to try to pull it off but that did not work. Let's face it, how often can a 45 year old executive who is constantly in front of several hundreds of business people can pull of the Harley Davidson look? So, I finally decided to do a hair transplant and my next move was finding the right doctor. Living in Dallas area, I met with 3 different doctors in town, one in California and one in Oklahoma. None of them really sounded too good and I just did not make the connection with the doctor which I think it is more important than anything else. The problem with the other doctors was that I felt pressured as if a used car salesman was trying to sell me something. Another thing that bothered me was that they all bad mouthed the other one. And finally, I am (was) considered a Norwood 7, if it means anything to you. If not, it means really bold. It means that I needed about 6,000 to 7,000 graphs and I wanted all in one session. I did not want to pay the money, go through the surgery and still have to do a comb over. All the doctors that I met were telling me that they could give me about 2,000 to 3,000 at the most. Their price was too high or they just sounded corny. Finally, I met with Dr. Arocha whose main office is in Houston but he also works (mostly consultations) in his Dallas office, where I met him. Immediately he made me feel comfortable. He is a former Hair Club member and has had transplant himself. That was a good connection. He is a classy guy and not a phony salesman. That was another plus. He never made me feel pressured and in fact tried to talk me out of it and told me that I looked great shaved bold. He answered all of my questions fully and patiently and without exaggerations. He understood my reason for wanting 6,000 graphs and in one session so the transitional period would be minimal. Unlike other doctors, after his careful examination, he told me that my donor area can provide for at least 6,000 and he could do it in about two weeks out of his Houston office. We agreed on the price and the rest was history. As for the price, he is not cheap but very reasonable. One of the doctors that I met with was telling me $3 per graph but that was way too sleazy. Let's face it... I only have one head with limited donors. I did not wanted to be the classic example of a bad transplant that now has to pay another doctor to fix the first doctor's mess up. Everything from picking me up from my hotel on the day of the surgery, all the way through about a 10 hour surgery that he worked tirelessly along with his staff and finally to the post surgery phase went quite well. He made me feel so comfortable. His staff could not be any nice and so knowledgeable. All and all, it was the best decision of my life and the best money that I ever spent. Now, two months later, I have a full head of hair, thanks to the surgery, Rogain and Propecia which are necessary to promote hair growth and at least stop any further hair loss. My hair still looks a bit thin on the top but I am keeping the sides short to blend it in. I know in about 2 months, I won't even have to that and will grow my hair long. Again, if you are looking for a talented and professional hair transplant doctor, I encourage you to contact Dr. Arocha. Just Google him and you will find him. If you want to reply to this posting and would like to see my before and after shots, I will be more than happy to share them with you. Good luck with whatever decision that you will make.
