I'm sorry to be nosy but I was wondering how much hair loss you have? Is it all over the place or just on top? And how many grafts are you scheduled for? I'm thinking of taking the plunge myself

Speaking as a woman who has used them all on pretty large areas - If you're going swimming - Dermatch. If you are going to be under really bright lights - Couvre (but it feels like your wearing a cosmetic) If you want volume that hides the hair loss in general - Toppiks with any otc hairspray. If you use a hairspray for "hard to hold" hair it will last for a long time and just looks like you 'gel' your hair. Toppiks has an attachment (kind of like a plastic fork-like thing) that helps a lot to get the frontal hairline looking natural. Just some suggestions

Cybernaut, great post. Just speaking for myself, I've used the lasercomb for about 4 months now. Honestly the only big difference I see is that I stopped shedding. There's not nearly as much in the sink as there used to be. But it all depends on what you want out of life. If it stops the shedding, thats good enough for me for now. But I definitely don't see the "miraculous" hair growth that you see in the ads.

Hi Jasmine, Glad to hear from another female. I don't post too often mostly I read and read and read. I have thinning too, mostly in front but also kind of all over. I have been considering an HT but am still doing my research. It seems that even though an HT is the same for a man or woman the reasons why we lose are hair can be really different. Only advice so far - make sure you get more than one opinion before you decide on surgery. I'm getting the nerve up now to go for consultations with some docs. I'll keep you up to date.
