Your rights have been violated by an obvious scam artist.Contact the Better Business Buearo and make a complaint and get on the web for fraud and scam advice/complaints section of the Federal Trade Commission.You may want to try a "civil rights" attorney also.I was bilked out of 17k years ago by a scam company and I initiated all of these steps and although it took a year,and I never got my money back, the agencies actually did put seven of these "lowlifes" in prison.
