  1. Apart from the one above i havent taken any and theres not much to see at over two weeks post op. Also apart from the slightly lowered hairline and temples the majority was planted in amongst exsisting hair,so not much to see.

I'm waiting on Mick to send some pics taken on the day but as you can appreciate he's a busy man.

In a few weeks when i'm certain all the transplanted hair has gone i will try to take some high quality pics to put up for comparison at the 6/8/10 and 12 month mark.

  2. I've been studying and suffering hair loss for 11 years and met lots of people some suicidal so yes. Also I have no respect for Wayne Rooney coming out at all as it was a no brainer he could not hide it he would of been caught easy as he's on the tv every week and would of looked a right prat. I'm sure he'd of kept it quiet if he could of.

    A little harsh BS.

I think if he had kept quiet of course every one would have known. but the fact this young man said "yeah i've had a HT,so what?"has smashed a lot of stigma attached to hair restoration.

I think a year ago HT to the majority was no different to wearing a toupe and no one must know.

Now thanks to Rooney,Nesbitt,Bryden etc in 5 years it will be know more embarrasing than admitting you got your teeth fixed.

  3. OK your perogative, but by coming on here naming a DR/Clinic and hinting on having a bad experience but not backing up with info/pics could be seen as underhand tactics by a rival clinic for example.

Not insinuating that for a second but this sort of thing does go on in this industry.

For the record i have never heard a good review of said clinic.

  4. LOL! I was just searching through my old posts looking for earlier pics of my other HT's.

I had to laugh, a lot of arguements in them days(and a lot of language...sorry):o

Also a lot of old names came flooding back,Thana,Hairbank,Bringing it Back etc, where'd they all go? Most i hope are happy with their hair and getting on with life.

Great to see a lot of new guys have grabbbed the baton and run with it and even better to see some old veterans still contributing good advice on a daily basis.

Keep up the good work everyone:cool:

BTW just realised my next post will be my 1000th...I expect a fanfare Falc!:D

  5. I watched the programme and was far from impressed from a HT point of view.

The lack of microscope use for a start was a red flag, the two guys who had proceedures didn't seem to be properly informed and we never got to see the final results.

Stick to Doctors recommended on here, all have proven results and pictures and all use microscopes for dissection.

Spend half an hour on here a night for several months and you shouldn't go wrong.

    Good luck.

  6. Thankyou Donald, how you coming along?

Day 3. The donor area is pretty tender now(it reminds me everytime i lean back on a chair and sleeping is uncomfortable),but recipient is fine and the little spikes have grown a little.

Very nice feeling gently patting the top of your head and feeling thousands of new hairs in amongst the old.

Keep getting the wierd"spider crawling on your scalp" sensation, funny i seem to recall that came later after the shed when the hair began to regrow?

My little girl was admitted to hospital yesterday so i have been there for two days and i have been sanitising my hands like a lunatic and making sure i dont lean back on chairs etc.

I Think Mick has pictures of the proceedure and will no doubt put them up when he gets a minute.

  7. Hi everybody,

    Thanks for the comments.

The day after and feeling human again. Must say the donor was a little sore last night and i was a little worried i wasnt going to sleep but went off like a log, that was until 5 oclock this morning when i woke up nauseous and was sick :( Now i dont know if this was down to the medication i'd taken that day,the Little Chef we stopped at on the way home or the fact my little girl had a stomach bug at the weekend. i reckon the latter two because i was ok after the first 2 ops and woke up fine this morning after Mick rung me to check in(cheers Micheal ;))

The donor area feels much better,no pain at all just a sense that its there.

The recipient area feels completely normal so much so i had to check in the mirror that the good Dr had actually done anything up there and to my glee he cetainly had.

I have had my hairline lowered all the way round by about a centimetre and again moved up the side channels. The rest of the grafts were distributed up through the mid scalp to add density to the exsisting work.

We talked about hitting the crown again, but its such a big area to cover and to be honest i am not that bothered.

Dr Farjo said i still have a fair amount of movable hair at the back so worry about that another time.

As usual the staff were good as gold, the girls make you feel at home and are very friendly(i'm sorry i dont know who was working on me because they are behind you with microscopic specs and masks on and all have a mancunian accent).:D

Mick also popped in from time to time to take some pics and crack off a few bad jokes.

By four oclock i was done,a cup of tea and biscuits a quick run down of post op instructions and a goody bag of meds and i was off home, job done!

Big thanks to Bessam,Nilofer,Mick and the gals.

Now the long wait, just occurred to me last time i was in a race with Fallenstar to see who would sprout first, this time its Wayne Rooney!

My, we have come on a long way.

    Stay tuned.
