I am in Erie, only 2 hours from you I went to Miami and had an HT with Dr. Epstein. I went USAIR Erie to Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh to Miami. took the Hotel shuttle to Hampton Inn, the next morning took cab to his office. It was very easy.

I have a question, I realize that when the new hairs start to grow they are like baby hairs, . I am 15 weeks from my HT and would like to know what your time line was concerning growth and when do they start to thicken. Thanks

Hello HT'ers I had an HT on Nov 23, 2140 on the top around the hairlne to about a 1/3 of the way back. How long did it take you to start to see growth from your new hairs? My Doc, Dr. E. said around 12 to 14 weeks. I take Proscar in quarters, and Rogaine 5% at night. Thanks

I never realy took any pics. when the transplanted hairs grows in all the way in about 6 - 8 months I will post a pic and maybe get one from D. E. Like Philly, I was looking into this for a few years. Decided last year but blew it off. Healing will depend on you. I never got pink or red. never really had any bleeding after I left the office. It felt tight for about a week and a little touchy here and there but that's it. My wife says my scare looks really good. All I can hope for is that everything grows out nice. like in all the great before and after pics I see on the web. The ones I saw in Dr. E's office were great.

Like I said, I had hair in the transplant area, even though it was thining I had good hair in the way that you could not tell it was thin unless the wind really blew it around, then you could see my scalp. Shock loss was with both, the existing hair was falling, but not all of it. I beleive that part has stopped. I can understand why it happens, they really did put alot of grafts in that area. The transplanted hairs did fall out, but not all of it, Roxy and DR.E said that would happen. For me I think within the next month and a half it should pop up. my hair always grows fast. I take proscar cut in quarters(one a day), and take something called Healthy Hair Skin and Nails. I get it from HSN.com

Philly, You sound alomst like myself, I had the HT done on Nov. 23 which was 6 weeks this past Tuesday. I never got any redness or swelling. The scare area was just a little tender for a week. Now it is only tender in a few areas when I touch it with pressure. The work was done on my hairline to about 1/3 the way back on the top of my head. I did have hair but it was thinning, I did go through shock loss, about 2 1/2 weeks after the HT it lasted about 2 to 3 weeks or so. I do still see a few hair but not like it was. I had 2120 grafts on the front 1/3 of my head, I just can not wait to see the results in 4 months. pictures of guys that had 2100 on the whole head look good from DR. E. I told DR. E I would be back for more if this works out the way it should. Ron Erie, PA

My hair on top was thinning, compared to what it was, along with the sides and back it was thin. Dr. E said I had good hair quantity. Alot of people, (my wife for one) said that it was not bad, sure it looked OK when I hair it combed right. when the wind blew you could see my scalp. Now even though it was thin on top I wanted to stay ahead of the problem. Every one out there knows, it just kept slowly going back little by little. Dr. E said what you see up front was from the hair on top hanging down towards the forehead. So he bulit up the hair line to about a little more then a third way back, and lowered the hair line on the left to match the right side. I have seen alot of photos of HT's with 2100 grafts on the entire top, some look really good. So I guess if this comes in good it should looks nice. Dr. E said that the density should almost double what I had up front. I will be happy. Then I will be back for more in a year or so. One thing though, were he worked on my hair, I had hair and it is going through shock loss. How soon will that come back? Any one have photos? Thanks Ron

Scar was sore but healing OK, the area never got numb. A little over 2100 grafts in the frontal area, about 1/3 they way back from the front. He was looking to build density. Anyone get the front done like this? The anticipation is going to drive me crazy. How will it look? Thanks

I very gently wash my hair. Day 2 after my HT I found a graft in the tub. Today day 6 after the HT I found another? I been keeping an very close eye on it and these are the only ones I found. I called the office and they said this is can and does happen. Is this rather normal?

Hello, I had an HT this past Tuesday 23rd. To be honest I never got a red or pink scalp. in fact it does not even bother me, a little numb the first two days but thats it. and it does get still get itchy here and there. I see all the scabs, and there are grafts that I have seen 2 days after the HT that had no scabs. In fact yesterday i took the camera from my PC and zoomed it in real close and I can really see the grafts and no scabs on alot of them. Dr. Epstein must of did a really good job placing the grafts. But, my real question is what is shock loos, The grafts hair failing out, or is it the hairs you had around the grafts that fall out? Thanks
