Sounds like you could have done some google searching on her first, because "josh-b" found several negative blogs. I realize that only the unhappy ones will write about their poor HTs, but combining your gut feelings with this information should lead you to another surgeon. Just look in the SDReader and this site, and you'll see tons of other surgeons. I went to Deyarman 3 months ago and I am doing very well. What level of expectations did he set for you? *WE (people needing/having HTs) should do a better job of telling a friend or loved one prior to making a HT decision. WE don't realize how much our friends help us make good decisions by asking us questions, hearing about our discussions with surgeons, and actually going to visit surgeons with us to decide if the person is a kook or legit trust-worthy doctor.
