  1. hi ther, my sister says her hair is thinning on the top of her head (apperently) i havnt noticed it though. I know there is a 2.5% minoxidil for women but what is the difference between the 2.5% for women and the stronger solution that are used for men. She says she only wants to put it on at night once and not in the mornin cos she dont want it to mess up her hair, and she dosnt want it to effect her hair color. If anyone could give me advice on this i would appreciate it, cheers

  3. To test 400 is just stupid. Even more so if you go for FUT cos then you've got a scar on the back of your head. 400 is really going to make little difference. You'll probly have small trauma but it's still not worth going through with it. I would say it's a waste of time because it's such a time consuming thing (meaning that youre going to wait a full year to see the results) and then because you've had so little grafts you may not even notice much difference. You may notice some small results to you but others i don't know, it depends how large the area is. I mean you could go ahead and do it but like i say you may not notice much of a difference. Is it worth a scar for such a small procedure and also the recovery time? I understand what your trying to do but in my opinion it's not worth it and a waste of time and effort.
  4. I am 2 n a half months post op now and have a little redness still from the procedure. I want to continure using the rogaine to help speed up the growth although the area is still a little red. I don't think the rogaine is causing too much redness if any. I think that rubbing the area when shampooing is doing this. I just want to know if it's neccisary to wash the area where the rogaine is applied before applying roagaine again. Or will it be just as effective without washing. I was thinking of leaving my head alone for a week or so without hard showering or anything and just letting my body do all the work. I have very sensitive skin aswell so if anyone has any tips on reducing the redness it would be welcome. Thnaks
  5. Creatine is legal. There is no reason for him not to take it, it's really beneficial. I would guess that he was lying. If he's lying about that then ther would be no way he would tell you he was using steroids.
  6. Hi, yet another post that is slightly concerning, mainly more so because im an Armani patient whose had 4000 FUE 2 months ago. I am eagerly anticipating the results and naturally want to defend Armani cos he was a great guy, he's given me a great hairline shape but now all i can do is wait and see what sort of density i get. I pray for the best results and am a little concerned when everybody has been saying they havnt seen many results from him. I did do a little search on hlh and seen around 8 blogs or sites dedicated to a fue procedure performed by himself. About 5 or 6 had pics up to around 4-5 months which looked alright considerin it was early and a couple which were around 10 month to a year which looked really good. I don't know what to think at the moment but i guess i could class myself as a guinee pig and shouldnt need to wait too long before i can give any pure evidence myself. I just hope i can
  7. From waht i understand shedding can occur anything from 2 weeks to around 2 months. Normally a couple of weeks though around 3 or 4 is more normal. Gets rarer the longer it goes on as far as im aware Dude i sympathize with your situation. Was it only certain areas that were bleeding? I had alot of scabbing, really thick ugly scabs after my HT and it took a long time to remove them. I kept the area as moist as i could, some areas hurt and the scabs sort of disintergrated after a while with rubbing. I didnt notice bleeding with mine but 'some small' areas did hurt a little, not too much tho. There was a chance that some areas had bleeding but the scabs or dried skin may have coverd it. I don't think so tho and i hope not. The hairs i shed DID have a buld on most and some were sort of bent over at the end. It can also be very stressful when you see the scabs come out with the hairs. All this is normal though and the whole follicle is the fat and tissue shit around the hair shaft. With me i was concerned cos the scabs can sometimes look like that. "I recall it looking like a really, really 'meaty' hair follicule"... Was it when you removed the scabs? Could have been attatched scabbage that made it look like that. Bleeding isn't normaly great though, the grafts are 'apparently' set after 10 days though. hope your ok man. I can't tell with me cos i'm only 2 months post op so bollux!
  8. haha, no flyby is not being serious, Janna and Bill pretty much summed it up. The hair on the back of your head is 'steady' and won't fall out. That hair from the back can be removed and transplanted to the thinning areas on your scalp. Obviously there is only a limited amount of hairs that can be removed from this area otherwise it will look stupidly thin.
  9. Thanks for all the concern everyone. I'll see what happens in the coming months, I have photos post op and monthly so far so i could create a weblog. I'll more than likely do this in a couple of months. I really do understand what everybody is saying. I was aware of the situation before the op and am not overly concerned about any loss in the future although it's hard to show any emotion to it unless it's actually happened. The way I look at it, is that if i were to lose any hair and medications did fail and supposedly there were no future 'options', to cover the rest then I would happily try to blend in a Zidane like bald spot. Some people may find it hard to believe but i don't think that would bother me . I wear my hair buzzed, i like it buzzed and I thought why not try this seen as I have had no hair loss and very very little loss in my family. In relation to the dude that said they don't know where they would put 4500 grafts... Like i say it was more like replacing a lost hairline but with no hairloss. I had a high hairline with no temples. I would have thought this was better than somebody who had showed signs of loss early. The shape that Armani has given me is fantastic, i have every faith in his artistic ability, and in general I would say that although he does market himself strong and business like he is a really nice guy with good staff and good clean facilities. One thing yesterday that did concern me a little was that i did not know about low yield rate in FUE and the fact that some of you find that he has not proven himself much in his FUE. Now, I did have a look around yesterday and found several grown out FUE pics which did look rather good. I guess that anyone who claims they can do huge FUE megasessions with high yield rate is going to raise some eyebrows and people will want evidence. From what I have seen is enough to put my mind at rest for the money I have spent. Thx
  10. a little concerning too say the least but i'll see how it goes. Nothing i can do now but wait. I did manage to find a few FUE results for Armani and relativly quickly when searching google which looked real nice.
  11. The whole thing took about 12 hours, maybe more. It was done in one session though. Is FUE not the same as FUSS though when it comes to placing the grafts? I thought the only difference was no cut along the back. Also because they take the grafts individualy it takes longer. Is that not true. Since i had the transplant I have been very careful and left it at least a month before touching the area to remove the scabs. If it's true that grafts are set after 10 days then i would think and hope that i should be ok. The only cocern i would have is that after removing the scabs certain areas were a little red but don't believe grafts could be pulled out at this time
  12. Hope thats not going to be the case buddy. I thought it was the same just a different extraction process. How many months gone is he? You reckon i should use the 15% then? cheers
  13. ermm, i don't think i seen any pics from the consultation or surgery. They had two guys there who had had a procedure. The pics i have seen or had seen before the surgery were from his and other websites / personal blogs. Y?
  14. haha, cheers dude. Nah i'm not guna use it i don't think. I might try putting some on the back of my head to see if it burns first. Well i'm 20 and i'm well aware of the controversy that comes with Armani doing dense hairlines on younger patienents. I have read alot from this forum, got some good info from here. I havn't lost any hair at present, i was just going for a more aggressive hairline, sides, and temples. I have had a shaved head for ages but i wanted the illusion of a lower hairline as mine was pretty far back. If i do lose hair then i'll probly just do a Zinidine Zidane. I'm very much a hetrosexual guy but hes a good looking bloke
