  1. Was wondering about success rates and what to expect when using FUE 200-300 grafts in an area that has already been transplanted. Obviously to thicken the area. So it's a second procedure into an area that is mostly consisting of transplanted hair. Any thoughts on shock hair loss? scar tissue and thickening of scalp caused by first transplant session? would this slow down or obstruct the fue hairs to grow through? many thanks for a well informed answer.
  2. Was wondering about FUE top ups. I'm going back in for small session to fill in the frontal scalp region that is still a bit thin. about 200-300 grafts is all that's estimated i need which will help thicken the recipient region and blend in with old hairline. Any thoughts on follicular unit extraction success of rate of growth? Is shock loss of existing hairs expected generally? What about thickening of skin in my scalp caused from first session? will the new hairs be able to grow through?
  3. HEy Josh-b, I had it done in Melbourne with Dr Rhett Bosnich as Dr White is based in Sydney. The operation was completely painless and took about 5 hrs in total. Was yours performed by Dr White? How is it all going for you? I'm approximately 2 months post op and am feeling impatient...normal though.
  4. Post operatively I have experienced considerable shock hair loss of existing hair in and close to the recipient region and would like to know how long before those hairs start to grow back? Has anyone else experienced this?
  5. Thanks for that - provides some relief. Was also wondering about new growth. Does it generally happen uniformly or more intermittently? I'm at my 7th week mark post operatively and have noticed some growth (about 10%) whilst the rest have either fallen out or are beginning to show slight stubble.
  6. Hi, I've just had a 2100 graft (approx 3,500 hairs) transplant on my frontal scalp at the National Hair Institute Australia and used an ice pack for the first 3 days to minimise the swelling in the fore head region. I may have accidentally had the ice pack very close to the newly inserted hairs (definately not directly on them) and fear freezing them. Is there any cause for concern? What are the risks of 'freezing' the new hairs? Many thanks for a repsonse?
