  1. Bill i might create my own topic, but not before the 18 month mark, and if i do it, i will do it only in order to get advice from doctors about the limited options i might have in order to improve my situation.

by the way considering that i am at 15 months post, if i wanted to create controversy (or anything other similar) i whould have done it LOOOONG ago, even earlier than my first month mark, just to make it clear...

i just wish the guy is enjoying a good head of hair and he isnt interested anymore in waisting his time in hair loss forums like this one..

  2. hairlosscursed,

That's a bit of an odd statement. I don't think it's fair to assume that just because he hasn't provided us with an update that he must not be happy. Hopefully however, he will return and update us on his progress.

    Best wishes,

    Bill

maybe after his last post he received some "interesting" phonecalls that might have"persuade" him to magically dissapear...

  3. Cant Decide,

What truly separates an elite hair transplant surgeon from the rest are how these cases are handled when they arise. Ultimately, we expect physicians recommended by this community to stand behind their patients and work to resolve their concerns ...

guess again, unfortunately what u whould expect from the "elite clinics" is such cases is (sometumes) far away from your expectations ...

  4. That would be irrelivant Tsakalos as these are the authors chosen clinics and the pol is to help him proceed, due to his time constraints and availabe slots/drs he is able to cordinate with..........

if neither was a option it wouldnt aid him in finding a dr to carry out the surgery he seeks and is comitted to getting.....

so instead of neither thus no dr, may be you would like to suggest and alternative dr as this would best serve the authors needs???

    :D

based on personal experience i do not recommend any strip hair transplant .

  5.

In addition lateral incisions also tend to disrupt the scalps vascularity more than sagital incisions. Thus sagital incisions transect less hairs and blood vessels, assuming the same size blades.

if i knew this i whouldnt have done my 3rd ht using lateral, considering that most grafts were placed in already transplanted areas, if what u say its true and cosnidering that an area thats has been already grafted in the past, has decreased blood flow than a virgin area, it makes a possible for the poor result (poor growth, thin almost invinsible to the naked eye hairs etc)

  6. in my case the lateral slit produced bad results. the yield was low, and some of the very few grafts that grew were thin and wispy, almost invisible to the naked eye producing no cosmetic improvent. i have arround 4000 pics from the last ht (YES 4000 pics - 10 GB and many close ups) and i can show this anytime, also in several other spots, marks from the incisions are visible . Now i dont know the exact cause of this, but since i had other transplants before and since my last donor strip was taken above the previous (meaning at least same or better quality hairs) i whould be expecting the grafts that seem to grow to be at least the same in diameter as the previous (assuming they were transplanted exactly as extracted and havent been manipulated or splitted etc) i am at 14 months post op now. i think maybe the failure of my surgery maybe is not related to the lateral slits, but to other factors related to the donor management - meaning that i think that miscalculations regarding the laxity limit that might have been made, caused my scalp to stretch SO BADLY that probably have affected the blood circulation (since my scalp feeled like someone was pushing it backwards untill the 8th - 9th month) + serious donor complications that require 1 or even more additional corrective work, which after the latest bad experience i am really hesitant to undergo.

  7. sometimes i come to these places just to check things out,. i get frustrated when i see good growth to others, i mean i am happy for them but i feel so unlucky to be the exception, they only thing i can say right now is that 14 months out from the ht being unhappy and i want to wait 18 months. i dont want to get into details and i hope things will improve for me. i dont want to spoil other peoples threads i just get so depressed when i see so many success stories but honestly i dont believe that i will get any satisfaction at the end.

  8. everybody is groing well while it looks i had to be the biggest sucker in those forums to waist 3800 grafts and 20.000 in order to look worse than before and get a depleted and unnatural donor . at this end this guy will be looking better than me with 5500 and nw6 while i started as a nw3-4 and a total of 8000 g.

I guess i should be happy cause while didnt get any results i still have the nice post op black bandana..

  9. Here it says that lateral slit allows denser packing. Hasson & Wong pioneered it.

    Lateral Slit Technique

Instead of believing anything u read arround the net its better to make comments based on personal experience . I had done both of the things mentioned here and i can tell u for sure that the truth is far away from the way it has been presented in various interent sites.
