  1. Thanks for your thoughts- I think I will wait for two to three months before I will say if my transplant has been productive or not. At that time I will disclose more information if I have to. At this point I am sure I will told to wait for few more months But I do find it a bit odd that all my hair are now healthy as compared to before. just wondering what happened to my weak hair from before HT. Is propecia doing its magic or the shock loss took its effect.
  2. after six months, in my view I am at 80% of where I was before the surgery. Most of it is native hair and them some new growth. The reason I can say its the native hair - because of the baldness pattern before surgery and now my hair pattern. I did have extensive shock loss The thing that I have noticed is that before I used to have thin hair also. Now all my hair are thick so which scenario is more applicable. 1. All my thin hair have been lost because of shock loss. 2. My thin hair have been helped and improved by taking propecia ( I have been on it for 8 months)- but I have not seen any new growth in the crown area if propecia was helping me. No more fuzzy hair for me, either I have healthy hair on different spots or no hair period.

  4. ok thanks to all for the reply. My doc is reputable but I dont want to put his name out. no need to start the controversy unless really needed. i had 2700 grafts
  5. but first my post-op progress- it has been a slow journey. it took alomst six months for my scar to heal and now I think I have gotten 80% of my native hair back after six months. But I am no where close to the transformation that I have seen on others with the same amount of grafts. so at six months post-op, I have read some of you saying that if at 6 months its not there - then maybe time to get worried or after 6 months - most of the improvement is only in terms of thickening of hair and not new growth. So the question is about new hair growth post six month- could most of the new hair growth take place after six months in some cases?

  7. dr . barera (I dont remember the spelling)- his name is listed as a coalition member. But he is so expensive that you can go to the best coalition doctor anywhere in the world and still save few thousand dollars instead of staying in Houston. I was quoted 7.50 per graft. for 2000 grafts - $15000
  8. no vitamins here. regular shower two times a day because I go to gym
  9. creeping I am in your shoes- 6 months and waiting. two more months thats what I have heard before I should jump of my ground floor window
  10. I have travelled a lot for my work to Pakistan. Not a problem. Go there stay there in Marriot which is equivalent to any best hotel in NY, where all the diplmats hangout. The hotel car will take you to clinic and bring you back. Get the operation done Dont wonder off on your own for adventure and you will be fine
  11. Aquarius I just sent you a PM. thanks
  12. <Inflamation and dermatitis/ foliculitis as a result of surgery are also factors.> Is this a permanent thing or it just delays the growth process
