I provided a visual aid to show you the area that people call the temple points. The temples are a different area. Please, I spent hours on that pic, please don't tell me you didn't notice.

Is there a time frame in which the neck hairs start falling out? My assumption is this will happen when you get older SO why isnt this a good idea? I always hear highschool hairlines look odd when you are older so when you put those fine neck hairs in the hairline and temples followed by 1 hair FU's and then 2,3,... wont this be a good idea? When the neck hairs start falling out, so will the ones in the direct front of the hairline and temples so you will recede a bit when you get older, and if they dont fall out, you will still have the hairline...

I still believe this is a good idea WHEN you wont have any visible scarring in your neck from extracting the hairs.

Natural hairlines can be made even with coarse hairs but temples just cant, that is why those fine hairs are SO important when you want temple work.

Who knows a person has 500 to 1000 of these neck- FU's. this puts another extra in case of donor yield.

you probably mean your temples which are in most cases the sign of beginning hairloss. Arfy is right, those hairs should be very very fine like they are by nature. Put voarse hair in the temples and it will look freaky. Those hairs grow in your neck-area ( the part that the barber shaves of ). Body hair should only be used for filling in crown and midscalp and shouldnt be used for hairline and especially temples. Those neckhairs could be taken with the new 0,1mm ( not sure if the size is correct, i mean the new needles that Woods used on a poster of this forum ) needles and should result in NO visible scarring due to the small needles used. If you have the guts to do it , pull out a hair from your temple points and one of your donorarea and compare. there is a very big difference between the 2 in thickness. Imagine placing those coarse hairs in you temples and you can start thinking it just wont look good.

When you have coarse hair, this is very good for coverage, but for hairlines and temples, you should have to get finer hairs.

I dont understand why you would get a HT to get girls. This is such a long and expensive process that should be done for yourself and for your self esteem. Face the facts, if you cant get any girls when you are balding, you wont be mister gorgeous when you have hair on top of your head.

Get it done when you cant live with it and your self-esteem becomes nihil due to the fact you have hairloss.

I just bite off quarters . But dont let your lips touch it so it wont get wet because it gets greasy when wet. Even with a pill cutter, you are not able to get even pieces. Im as close to it by biting it off as i would be using a cutter so why waste time ****ing around with those little pills???

i dont think that is can be a problem with you taking it BUT keep it out of reach of your wife. Proscar can also penetrate through the skin so make sure she wont touch the proscar in any way. Also when you cut the proscar in quarters, make sure you get rid of ALL the leftovers. I can also be advised to take propecia while your wife is expecting because no leftovers will be hanging around. Just make sure your doesnt come in contact with your meds.

Hey man, i really feel sorry for you and i hope everything will turn out great for you. I also like the fact you try to warn people for not going to MHR, but this doenst mean you have to continue to open topics like this on a daily basis. How many topics with the same message did you open the last 2 months? 50? more? This is getting a bit frustrating though. People come here to learn about HT and off course, also to learn which docs are good and which bad BUT dont push it. You made 3 topics today with the same message, like you did last week, the week before,... This isnt helping anyone. You should do something else about it. Get rapair work, get therapy because this can all be fixed. It isnt the end of your life. As i recall, you have kids, do it for them as i am sure they dont want their father to become a grumpy guy, as i am sure you werent that before what this doc did to you.

so why do i get those funny remarks like the one from mister intellect ( otto ) when i post this and in my previous posts where i state that IMO you can get 14000 FU's with stip and FUE combined?

You say about 25000 FU's left with a NW6, take 6000 with strip. So you lost about 60 to 80cm2 of donor from strip. So about 19000 left. Take 15000 that would go as good donor-area for FUE, take half so you can add an extra 7500 FU's.

So you get a total of 13500FU's with strip and FUE.

When you can put this amount in the bald area of a NW6, you can still achieve very good density.

I believe a range around 5-6 thousand grafts via strip is considered an average maximum. You can say Jotronic had a "three" donor area but I don't know what the heck that means. What scale is that based on? That is a pretty silly "statistic" to quote. Jotronic has said that he has extraordinary scalp laxity (scalp like a "Bassett Hound") and that is the key to his higher yield. Do you understand the concept of "averages"? It means that some guys will be higher and some guys will be lower. But here you are pointing to a higher example and claiming that everyone will be that way... sorry, that is not correct, and that is not how to figure out what is average. Don't make the mistake of thinking that all patients are alike, and that if you go to patient X's doctor you will have patient X's exact results.

 

I get my estimates of 5-6000 based on comments and articles written by modern FU strip doctors. Maybe you can point out some articles or comments that claim a higher number? Anything? It's great if a guy like Jotronic has some excellent characteristics like good laxity but most of us have average charecteristics. If Jotronic was average than there would be a whole ton of guys with similar number of grafts. I don't think that there is.

 

There is a lot of assumptions in your post that I think are incorrect, for example that a guy who is Norwood 6 will still have 70 percent of his hair remaining. A lot of this information is already available if you are willing to read and research.

First of all, Jotronic has poor donor density. I KNOW he has very good laxity but i was talking about the donor-desity.

Secondly, read well and you see that i use jotronic as an example and almost my entire post goes about FUE

third remark, i told that the average head has about 100000 FU's and i was thinking that with a NW6, you would have lost about 30000 to 40000 FU's because in my opinion, there are more hairs left on the sides and back than on the bald area. Do you see the question marks after those numbers? so what do you think that means? That means i am asking something.

numero quatro: you still didnt answer my main question, isnt it possible to take 50% of the density you have on the sides and back with FUE, and still have the appearance of full density???

I know you probably know the most about HT's on this forum, but stop living in the FUT-only-age!!!

But roughly speaking id say 4-5000 grafts is probably near the average for "most" guys.

If you scroll through the photo albumn here at hairtransplant network very few guys are beyond 5-6000 graft range.

 

 

sorry but i totally disagree. It is not because very few guys go beyond 5-6000 graft range, that there arent more left. And i find 4-5000 grafts on average a complete joke. I think you are still counting in plug-era. Im sorry Jotronic for always bringing you up in my statements about the average amount of grafts, but i will do it again: Jotronic, considered a 3 on a scale of 1 to 10 when it comes to available grafts in the donor-area could get 10000FU's!!! ( 7500FU's and about 800 m/m-grafts ). Let's take him as average shall we. So 10000 FU's using only strip, which means the back of his head is dry. Add what you can get from the sides with FUE.

When i post this over and over again, i always get comments that i am way off but who can give me some proof??

Now ill go even beyond that:

A full head of hair has about 100000 grafts? if you are a NW6, you lost about 30000? 40000? So that is 50000 to 60000 left. If the patient will never go past a NW6, which isnt that uncommon, then he could call this his permanent FU's.

---> appearance of full density requires 50% so if you take 50% out of 50 to 60000, you can get at least 25000 grafts to put in the area where you lost about 30 to 40000 grafts. That is even more than 50%.

I am more than willing to believe i am a fool thinking this, but i need some proof. And comments that i am way off wont make me a believer, proove me wrong. I very much appreciate guys who got burnt in the past and want to keep us virgin-patients from making a mistake but things have changed over the years. FUT makes HT's look natural and FUE makes the donor-area way way bigger.

i just saw this post and i dont completely agree, thick hair will give better density but thick hair will also give the least natural hairlines. Or am i wrong here? By nature, the very frontal part of the hairline and temples is very fine hair

200 mg testosterone per week is what beginning bodybuilders take. I cant believe a doctor whould prescribe you something like that. Those levels are way too high. Propecia lets the testosterone work less, less muscle gains,...

I guess you are taking them for these purposes?

Testosterone converts to DHT and you know what that means, upping your propecia-dosage wont help that much. I was thinking about taking steroids too some time ago, till i educated myself and found out what it can do to you. ( roid rage, testicles shrink, hair falls out, severe acne, impotence, do i need to go on? )

Luckily for you testosterone is the most 'healthy' steroid, i also gets produced by the human body but not in those dosages.

I can only advice you not to take it or reconsider your choice on steroid, deca and d-bol and others dont convert to DHT but have other side-effects than hairloss. If you take deca, dont take propecia because this mix makes your hair fall out.

Personally i wouldnt let some fat greasy guy do my HT, just doesnt sounds right, he is a doctor and if he doesnt take care about himself, i would be afraid he wouldnt do that for me as well.

Proscar gives me acne which i hate, no proscar makes my hair fall out, which i hate. This is a choice i dont want to make.

Maybe i can quit the proscar and get on rogaine, as i am sure the acne comes from the proscar. I' ve quit it for a week, and none of those irritating pimples came back.

I use tons of anti-acne stuff but that just wont work, months on accutane didnt change a bit. The only thing that works is to stay of the proscar.

I guess the only thing i can do is to go full force on the topicals ( rogaine, spiro, ... ) and i hope i wont get any of the side-effect that could occur with those products.
