  1. Hi guys, I'm almost 29 and have been using proscar for about 5 1/2 months. My hairline has receded approximately 1/2" or so. Prior to starting I was losing about 25 to 30 hairs a day in the shower. After a week of taking proscar, my hair loss dropped to the single digits. However, two weeks later I noticed the hairloss count to increase to where I'm losing significantly more, around 50 hairs in the shower. Also, it seems the hair falls out rather easily even hours after a shower. I've also noticed that the hair is less concentrated (thinner) in the frontal region than prior to the start of the regimen. Additionally, as I've been taking 1/4 tablet of proscar daily, my scalp sebum has been significantly reduced. My question for any doctors and others with proscar/propecia experience is, "can this be attributed to fallout where the follicle is 'regenerating' and if so, how long does this process last as it's been 4 1/2 months? If it's not, what could be the cause of increased hairloss? Additionally, I've heard that only valid proscar comes in a bottle. The proscar I've purchased has come in blister packs from Prescriptions Key West with what seems legitimate packaging and labeling. Should proscar come only in a bottle? Thanks for your responses!!
