  1. Hi PB Interview went well, but knew he was looking at my head a lot, I made up some story that i had a skin condition hence the redness of my scalp and that they had to remove some skin hence the staples. not sure he really believed me
  2. I just wanted to share my experiences of my visit with Dr Feller: I flew to New York on Saturday and spent the Sunday visiting the city, but I have to say I just wanted to get to the clinic, I was more excited about the HT than the sightseeing. The morning of my surgery I got up early and decided on a cab rather than the train as I wanted to guarantee I was there on time. I arrived in Great Neck for 7.30 and had a little walk around before going up to the clinic, Dr Feller welcomed me and we took some before photos and then had a discussion about what I wanted from the op, obviously I am the same as everybody else I want the maximum in one go. Dr Feller examined my donor area and reckoned he could safely take about 3000 grafts, but said I was lucky as I had a small head and the hair was high up on the sides. He then spent about 20 minutes drawing in my new hairline (I have not had a hairline for about 7 years!) and making sure I was happy with the look. After that was the only stage where I actually felt any pain, where he anaesthitised my donor area, just a few very small sharp jabs and once that had taken place I didnt feel any discomfort for the rest of the op. The girls then came in and Dr Feller took the strip and then stapled me up. trust me you feel he is doing it to someone else rather than you. after that Dr Feller made the incissions where the new hair was going and then the girls got on with planting them. I have to say, the procedure is actually boring lol!. I watched two DVDs, nodded off for a bit, had some lunch and was finally finished about 4pm. I then got to see my results and even though I did look a bit gory I could see my new hairline! Trust me there is no better feeling. On the day I was slightly dissapointed that I didnt have more in my donor supply to complete my crown, but Dr Feller has arranged it so that is the only area uncovered and there is a chance I could go back and get it covered. Dr Feller then took some more photos, gave me some pain killers, a very big but dodgy hat and Marcia rang me a cab but this time I decided to only get it to Great neck Station as I was so excited. I then took the train back to Penn Station. Great train ride get to see Shea Stadium, Flushing meadow (US version of Wimbledon) and the Site of the World Fair (which since I watched Men in Black the day before and this was the scene in the final credits, I was dead pleased with). I had a few stares on the way as I did look a bit like Forrest Gump in my hat but what did I care! That night I took enough painkillers to knowck me out and slept quite well. I flew back the next day with Virgin and it can be quite stuffy in the plane with the cap on. The only precarious moment was at customs in the UK and they asked me to take my cap off, I did warn them that I ddint look too hot but I still had to take it off, they quickly waved me through. Unfortunately this did cause some bleeding on the top of my scalp and I definitely shocked the people in the Macdonalds Drive through on the wayhome Sleeping the second night was a bit painful as I really felt the staples. It is now the 3rd day and I am loving it and cant wait for it all to go back to normal! I have a interview in 2 days time so busy thinking up some valid excuse for the way I look. A big thank you anyway to Spex who rang whilst I was in Surgery to check I was ok and covered me every step of the way. I am now paranoid of touching or hitting my head!! So grow little fellows like you have never grown before! ArticMonk 3023
