  1. Well, hello everyone, I'm 24 and have now been taking 1.2 mg of Propecia every night for about a month. I was originally going slightly bald at the temple on my left side of my head. Now, there is a big chunk of hair missing on the left side. could it be that the propecia isn't working? I was really counting on it working for me since it says it works for 90% of people. Unfortunately, I am one of those special cases who always gets screwed at everything no matter what and is doomed to a life of suffering. I am also quite a frequent masturbator (a few times a day). Could it be that over-masturbation is accelerating the DHT production process? I'm also extremely lazy. I don't do anything all day but sit around. Maybe if I was more active and got my juices flowing, the Propecia would kick in more? Just throwing out some thoughts etc. I'd like to stop going bald somehow. Please help.

  3. Hi, I am a 24 year old male who just recently started taking propecia about 3 weeks ago. I started taking it because I noticed a receding starting on the left side of my hairline. Even though I started taking the drug 3 weeks ago, I now have a chunk missing on my left side, more than 3 weeks ago. Could this be a result of the initial "shedding" where hair that isn't in the growth phase falls out? When is propecia supposed to start halting or slowing down hair loss? Immediately? Or does it take a couple months. ... It's making me anxious to be going bald.

  5. Hi, I was just wondering if there is any interaction between taking Propecia and smoking? I am a heavy smoker. Thank you

  7. Hi, I just started taking propecia about a week ago. I have a few questions. It is said that propecia works for 9 of 10 men. I noticed that my penis is softer than usual during erection. Does this mean the drug is working? I want to know that the drug is actually working so I don't have to worry about losing hair. I hate it so much. Is there any way to know for sure if it's working? If I am experiencing the penis side effect, does this mean the drug is halting the DHT and the drug is doing what it's supposed to do? My second question is: I know that propecia is supposed to at least SLOW hair loss. Will it slow it/halt it FOREVER? Or will it stop working after a few years. I do not want to lose any more hair at all. Ever again. Knowing that it might only work for a few years doesn't do it for me. I need to know that i will have the same amount of hair when I'm 75 years old. Thank you to whoever reads this message and gives me a kind reply.

  9. Ok.... Can this shedding be really bad? I don't want it to look like im going bald
  10. Hey. Ok... Thank you for help.. I am going to stop it to see if my erections return About the shedding. Is it random shedding from all over the head? or is it like an acceleration of male pattern baldness
  11. Hey again Jake it's just that I've read from several websites "it may take several months for propecia to work. do not stop."
  12. Hey Jake, thank you for the information. Is inhibiting DHT production by 70% enough to stop hair loss? Is that why some people say it only slows down hair loss? Is there any product that will inhibit more DHT?
  13. hey jake.. thanks for your reply.. what i meant by effect is.. if i DO stop taking it to see if my erections come back within a couple weeks, can i start taking it again after? Or will it not work anymore.
  14. My question is, will stopping propecia for a couple days ruin the effect?
  15. Well, the limp dick isn't in my head. I can't get an erection at all. My penis is always big and soft now, it never returns to its normal size. The tissue doesn't feel elasticky, it just feels weak and soft.
  16. Hi, I just started taking Propecia about 5 days ago and noticed weak erections. Is it OK to stop it for a couple days to see if my erections return, or will that ruin everything and the drug stop working?

  18. I've heard about this 0.2 dose too. My question is, if I take a 0.2 mg dose and my body starts tolerating propecia after a while and I start losing hair, will upping it to a 0.5 mg dose start suppressing DHT again? Or will it not matter and I'll lose hair no matter what. Cause my plan is to start low at like 0.2 mg, and up it progressively so that I can take it for years.
  19. Hi, I just started taking propecia about 5 days ago. The other night, I masturbated for about 4 hours straight and had an erection the whole time. The next morning, I noticed my penis was puffy and the tissue was rather soft and weak, and I could not get an erection at all. Now I'm confused, I don't know if I caused damage by having an erection for so long, or if it's a propecia side effect. In any case, I want to stop the propecia for a few days to see if my erection returns. Seeing as I just started the Propecia 5 days ago, is it ok to stop it for a few days and start again? Or will this totally ruin the whole process Thank you
  20. Hi. I have just started taking Propecia. I've read a lot of stories and forums about Propecia's effectiveness on the hairline and I want to know what will happen. At first, the majority of posts I read stated that Propecia will slow or halt ALL hair loss, all over the head (this includes the temple region), but it will not REGROW hair at the temple hairline region. Now, I have been scanning through past posts on this board, and a few people say that it will NOT slow the hair loss at the temple region of the hairline. Everyone has something different to say about Propecia and I would like definite facts.
  21. Ok. this is pretty good news. Do you or anybody know how long the regrown hair and retained hair will stay, while continuing to take the drug? Forever? Also, when does the drug start taking effect to retain hair? I've read on the website that it takes "3 months till you see results". Does this mean that the drug takes 3 months till it starts retaining hair, or 3 months till it starts to regrow hair?
  22. Hi. I am a 24 year old male about to start taking Propecia. I have heard from many stories that it quits working after a couple years. Some people say this is true, some people say it's not. Something that is never talked about is whether or not starting with a low dosage of propecia (0.25mg or 0.5mg) and increasing it after a few years will prevent any kind of "tolerance" from occurring. If I increase my dosage of propecia, will it be BETTER at blocking DHT? If so, will increased effectiveness stop at a certain dosage? (2mg or so?) I want the full scoop on this I have not started taking it because I do not know what dosage to start with.
