  1. Thanks for all the comments.

azza, I'd say it was around the 5 month mark that i really noticed what to me was a big change. having hair growing in that area instead of falling out was such a thrill that i was pretty happy at that point even just to see SOMETHING there.

Spex, Yes I am happy so far so let Dr. Feller know! The best thing is that my self confidence has been greatly renewed. Having such a large amount of loss at 22 was just painful. Now after the surgery though, I no longer hate when people pull out a camera near me and things like that. I feel way better about myself which is definitely great in my book.

  2. Im 23 now just had one 4 months ago.

With your loss, I would not touch your crown at all. Get on meds, and if after consults you decide its for you, do a procedure for the front only. Hopefully the meds will stabilize your crown loss, and at least slow it down. Definitely do not put any grafts in the crown I'd say. Also if youre self concious, look into some concealers. Dermatch works quite well.

  3. I dont mean to come off as a jerk, but rather than post 3 different threads asking about how many grafts you need, just use one thread and ask a doctor. The best way to find out information is to consult with doctors.

To answer your question though 6000 grafts can make large cosmetic improvement - you won't look like youre 18 again but it will definitely make a large difference. Might be a better idea not to use them in the crown, but just go to a couple consultations of recommended docs, or even do the online consult as that will get you the best and most informative answers.
