  1. Kaounis - thanks for the kind words Mr. GQ - yes I am on propecia currently.
  2. thana, new2thissite - Thanks for the comments. Dr. Feller - I'll stop by the office toward the end of May most likely.
  3. Thanks for all the comments. azza, I'd say it was around the 5 month mark that i really noticed what to me was a big change. having hair growing in that area instead of falling out was such a thrill that i was pretty happy at that point even just to see SOMETHING there. Spex, Yes I am happy so far so let Dr. Feller know! The best thing is that my self confidence has been greatly renewed. Having such a large amount of loss at 22 was just painful. Now after the surgery though, I no longer hate when people pull out a camera near me and things like that. I feel way better about myself which is definitely great in my book.
  4. Feller worked on me at 22 - check out my pics if it helps your decision at all.
  5. I've been awful with posting pictures recently so sorry about that. Anyway, here are my results at 8 months, along with some pictures along the way.
  6. Before going to Dr. Feller, I actually had a consult with him at bosley philadelphia (before I found this forum). He did seem like a genuinely nice guy, but he suggested spreading 2700-3000 grafts over the whole top of my head....
  7. A lot of people were probably excited when they read the subject of your post. HAHA. Then once they saw it was Dr. Armani that excitement probably went away even before reading the terms of the contract.
  8. Im 23 now just had one 4 months ago. With your loss, I would not touch your crown at all. Get on meds, and if after consults you decide its for you, do a procedure for the front only. Hopefully the meds will stabilize your crown loss, and at least slow it down. Definitely do not put any grafts in the crown I'd say. Also if youre self concious, look into some concealers. Dermatch works quite well.
  9. FUE = More money for less chance of a good result. Only do FUE if you are getting a very small session.
  10. 3 Month pics are now up - sorry took me a while! Though theres not that much new growth in those pics, there is now, so you guys will see that in the 4 month pics
  11. Finally posted the 3 months pics. Not much growth in those pics, but theres a bunch of new growth now
  12. Looks excellent. I'd love to see some top down pictures if you have.
  13. Just letting you know I'll post some updates shortly. I've been extremely busy, so I haven't had the chance too post anything new. I feel like a lot of the grafts are growing quite well already so I'm very happy about that. I can't wait till these things thicken up!
  14. Dr, I definitely agree on 1 and 3 on your list (don't know who #2 is). Just find it incredible that someone would be able to do surgery on themself.
  15. Surgery on your own leg?!?!?! I'd like to know - what is your definition of "toughest guy on the planet?"
  16. Congrats on your great result thus far, it will only get better. Cant wait till Im at 7 months!
  17. TOTALLY normal. Don't worry feeling will come back.
  18. I was also nervous about the doc shaving the recipient area, even thought there wasnt much there haha. What he shaves grows back, and thats better than risking transection. I also waited 3 months to get a procedure with him, should be worth it though in a matter of months! Best of luck and keep us updated.
  19. I dont mean to come off as a jerk, but rather than post 3 different threads asking about how many grafts you need, just use one thread and ask a doctor. The best way to find out information is to consult with doctors. To answer your question though 6000 grafts can make large cosmetic improvement - you won't look like youre 18 again but it will definitely make a large difference. Might be a better idea not to use them in the crown, but just go to a couple consultations of recommended docs, or even do the online consult as that will get you the best and most informative answers.
  20. botched: why dont you post pics of your procedure then if bosley is great
  21. Looks fantastic! Continue to grow well.
  22. any pics of yours botched? also jimsosa id be interested in seeing your results if you have any pics
  23. Even though it may not be "necessary," when youre paying a bunch of money and undergoing an operation, I'd have to say you should listen to the doctor's suggestions. Since you apparently didn't, you might as well stop NOW. Better safe than sorry. Don't be stupid about this.
