  1. I went to Jean Devroye. After 10 months I've had less than 5% growth. So, I'm going back to my old surgeon, he doesn't do all the latest stuff, but at least I get some decent hair growth out of it (90%+). I feel a bit of a fool, if you get good growth why change?, well I believed all the hype about FU etc. The most imortant thing is to go to a good surgeon with good staff.
  2. I think you should sue them, not them sue you. The most profitable way forward for a hairmill is to get you to come back as many times as possbile, the less hair they give you, the more times you have to go back. I think this is taking it to the extreme though. Good Luck.
  3. I've been using it for 6 months. It's made no difference to my hair at all, just very low sex drive (in fact - zero sex drive). I am not going to take it any more, these companies make billions from people like me trying it for 6 months then giving it up (I spent around $300 on these pills). There's no way I'm going to carry on taking it for the rest of my life, so I'm going to give it up now. It may stop your hair receding at the back, but my hair has only an inch at most to go anyway. It's not worth taking a pill for the rest of my life just to save one inch of hair. Hair transplant doctors always recommend it, not because it's good for their patients, but because the more hair the patient keeps in the donor area the more transplants they can do on them - so the more money they make.
  4. A Great, Wonderful transplant cannot be judged until about 6-8 months not after 5 days or 1 month. You obviously have a vested interest in the work of Dr Devroye, you seem to know his whereabouts all the time and now you are announcing his web site updates.
  5. bverotti, I think it helps a lot if you wear a headband after a transplant, this stops the swelling going to the face, you get more swelling at the top of the head but it stops black eyes etc. hairlase quoted me 11500 Euros for 1 treatment (1500 grafts) and 12800 Euros for 2 treatments (2 x 1500 grafts), so that's 1300 Euros for an extra treatment! - that pricing forces you to have 2 treatments which I didn't want to do anyway. I'd Rather have 1 treatment, see how it goes, then decide on the next one. Did they give you the same pricing?
  6. why is Dr Rose using loupes (x2 magnification), I thought microscopes (upto x30 magnification) was the way to go for all FU? Doesn't he work with shapiro?
  7. This is the best and simplest indicator of whether a clinic is doing the all-follicullar-unit transplant method. A lot of clinics claim to do all-fu but they have no microscopes so it's a bit of a giveaway. 4/5 sounds about right to me.
  8. David, how many microscopes did they have at Devroye's clinic?
