  1. I am a women in my early 30's. I got a hair transplant to lower my hair line after the front was burnt and there was no regrowth. I received two transplants from Dr.Jones in Oakville which in my opinion I could not detect any visible grafts taking at all. My third transplant with Dr.Wong in Vancouver where grafts took but they are very spaced apart and make my appearance of my forehead look very awkward. It is very apparent now that I am going BALD, from the front travelling back. It has been difficult over the years to hide my forehead with bangs and trying to style my hair this way and that way. But there is no way of hiding whats happening now. I am full of shame and embarrassment. I put off dating for years waiting for my transplant to finally take. But now I am dealing with a even bigger issue. Lets be honest who really wants to date a women who is going bald in her early 30's. I wish everyone the best of luck with their hair transplants but for me its the been the biggest mistake of my life, which I deal with every day especially when i look in the mirror.
  2. Dear Big Mac On Dec 18th I had my second procedure with Dr Jones. I did experience shock loss and I am disturbed by some things that I will keep quiet for now. I am very distraught to hear about your experience, I know it all a little too well. My scar this time is longer than ear to ear, kinda in the shape of a 'U'. I wish I never saw it. Sure this website may be an okay idea. BUT LETS BE REALISTIC These Doctors will never have to be accountable and no Doctor will ever give you the money back as someone in a previous post suggested to me.
  3. I did go ahead with my second transplant on I Dec 18th as planned. I do have lots to say about it but I will zip it for now. I asked the DR to do a some FUE in the very front of the strip transplant to soften the look but quoted some ridiculous price. I dont think he does FUE, so if anyone has that in mind that they are going to get a FUE, you will be told in your consult that strip will be the better way for you to go. Technology behind FUE isnt so advanced its just time consuming for the Good Doctor.
  4. I originally wanted to go to Seager. The reason I didnt and this is silly is that when I called early this year they were not very customer oriented over the phone and I asked them like 2 questions and they said they had to go that this is a business and they do have to answer the phones. So lastweek I called them and I got the same tone.
  5. I am talking about Dr Robert Jones from Oakville, its just that I am thinking about going back to him because the touch up will be less expensive
  6. . He said he would fix it for a minimum of 7,500.I then went to a doctor to seek help. this is the letter i wrote to the doctor today Dear Dr Jones I have an appointment with you on Monday Dec 15th 2003, to discuss my second hair transplant on the Thursday of the same week. I would like to express some concerns I have since this is a very sensitive matter to me. In March 2003 when I recieved my first transplant. I tried to cancel 2 days before hand, because I knew someone who was not happy with your work. I cancelled my appointment with Serena. You then called me back stating that you had lots of experience and that it will look normal you promised and that if I wasnt happy with the transplant you would do it again for me at no extra charge. During my transplant, you said that you definitely packed the grafts in and that I would be very happy and if I wasnt you would do it over again for me for free. During the day of my transplant I was able to eat a bagle for lunch, but I had to wait over an hour after for staff to come back to continue the grafts. I did express the day of my consultation that I have severe fibromyalgia and that I would need to be very sedated to stay in the chair because of excruciating muscle pain. I did ask for more pain medicine after lunch but they said they needed to ask you because were in surgery doing liposuction, however that was not the case you were leaving to go out for lunch and that issue was never addressed. Today December 12th 2003, I did speak to Jenny about my pain problem she did assure me she would address it by injection instead of pill, but i did get an injection last time. 2 or 3 of your transplant reps only worked on me for a very short time 5- 10 mins. The middle eastern man said he could not see what he was doing and said he would go back and cut grafts and that he had to leave early, i think he just had a baby. Two occasions 1 or 2 women (blonde), said they cannot see what they are doing and that they knew for a fact that they were placing the grafts in the same place. So she said she was going to leave because it was useless. I then asked the other lady twicewho was working on me to reassure me that she was able to see what she was doing and that it would be okay, she did not answer me. Not all the grafts were finished being cut. You instructed them before 4 to just finish using what they had in that circular dish in the room I was in. This was confirmed by two other technicians that came in and said "he" wants us to stop cutting the grafts and just finish up. A question I had was that I was watching a tv program, and they were talking about not using the hair from where we had cut to use for the frontal area, because the hair would be to thick in texture. The hair grafts have been placed in very different and unusual directions. I look at my real hair above and the grafts and I see that their is absolutely no consistency in placing them in the same direction or any consistent direction of the hair growth. I am very aware what new stubble hair looks like when it is growing in. I had my head shaved for 2 years which I shaved every 7-10 days. The grafts in their direction is not normal How can you guarantee that the grafts will not be placed in such unusual directions, by your technicians after all you did make the slits before. Yes there is a great concern of density this time. I can count the hairs that was transplanted. But maybe even a greater concern, is there someone who is detailed oriented and is there any "qualified and licensed hair transplanter" who is employed by your office that will take the time and stay there the whole time and supervise the direction and the strategic planning of the hair line so that it may look esthetically appropriate. Have you done reconstructive frontal hair lines that have been messed up this way. Can you fix it? I do understand that some doctors are not artistically able to do frontal hair lines, either because of patience or not being able to properly visualize. The hair needs to be transplanted in the same way it naturally grows. This simple request has seemed to be a complicated issue. I know that you will be there for the cutting of the scalp and the slits and will check in on the technicians, but truly you have no control over the way they are putting in the grafts or you would not of let them put them in this way. Do you need to consult another Dr, get a picture of the proble or bring in someone who can esthetically understand the frontal hair line? It is upsetting that you are making me pay after you promised me you were not going to before hand. I do hope the procedure will not be rushed, I hope the idea of this being a touch up is abolished because this is a corrective transplant. Can you tell me the qualifications of the people who will be doing the transplant? What training do they have? Before the transplant I cut bangs to cover the area, but you can still see the sparatic hair poking out in every direction. I know that you know that I am not working because of my disability, I have to use money from my other needs for this transplant, but maybe it will help me move on with my life. But please can we make it work this time, I am depending on it in so many ways. Although with my illness I have not been mobile, but I have alienated myself away from family and friends until my forehand can look normal. I have not gone to wedding or family occasions or even a vacation my family was going on because I would not be able to where my baseball hat. I feel that my life is on hold. Maybe it would be different if I was balding but the fact that it looks so freakish, not like normal hair growing in, thats why I am so ashamed and embarrased. I actually moved out of my parents home in Guelph after the procedure so they would not see it. I just want to look somewhat normal. The transplant you did was not right and it has effected almost every area of my life directly or indirectly. I am very lonely and ashamed of how the transplant turned out P.S. Please respond before Monday Dec 15th in writing, with answers to my questions. And to tell me if you are willing to help me. And are my expectations realistic. My appt is 11 50am. I will await your response in writing [This message was edited by donna on December 15, 2003 at 04:03 AM.] [This message was edited by donna on December 15, 2003 at 04:13 AM.] [This message was edited by donna on December 15, 2003 at 04:18 AM.]
