  1. I would like to attach a set of pictures, so you guys can see the before and after, but I don't know how to attach more than one picture in my post. Your help will be appreciated. Thank You.
  2. Greetings... As I posted before I was suppose to have my HT last Monday April 16th with Dr. Epstein in Mimi, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From the very beginning I noticed the degree of professionalism displayed by everybody, from the person that received me at the front desk to person that walked me out to my car by the end of the day. Last time we were discussing in this forum that due to my level of hair loss the suggested 2,700 grafts by Dr. Epstein were probably not enough, because I had a good donor area and good scalp laxity and the possibility of going for a bigger session was there, however Dr. Epstein explained to me that since I was still young and didn't take any medication to prevent hair loss before, it was very difficult to predict my future hair loss and that for that reason a conservative approach was needed at this time. Dr. Epstein also explained that he does not divide up follicular units and that is why he can obtain great density results without claiming unrealistic mega session. By the end of the procedure he was able to give me Graft counts as well as hair counts; below I have listed all the numbers as well as before and after pictures. Total Grafts: 2,888 940 ??“ 1 hair grafts 1540- 2 hair grafts 408- 3-4 hair grafts Recipient sites: 0.6 ??“ 0.8 mm Dr. Epstein is a great professional, that takes a lot of pride of his work and that showed me great ethics, I'm happy that I choose him for my procedure. Thanks to all you members of this forum that helped me make my decision and that took the time to answer all my questions, this is a great community and I'm honored to be part of it. Best Regards Ralph

  5. Thanks guys for all the info. I will stop MSM just in case and resume right after my HT. I'm also using 5% Minoxidil along with Propecia, Dr. Epstein told me to keep using Propecia but I don't remember about Minoxidil, your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Best Regards Ralph
  6. Thank You Bill, you are always willing to answer all the newbie's questions. You are a true on-line mentor. Since I'm like 10 days out to my procedure, I will stop the intake of MSM and re-start again after my surgery. Regards Ralph
  7. My HT with Dr. Epstein is on April 16th and I was wondering if I should stop MSM intake prior to my procedure or if can keep going until the day of my surgery. Thanks in advance. Regards Ralph

  9. Today was my appointment with Dr. E and I couldn't be happier. He clarified all my doubts and answered all my questions. I truly think that the approach suggested by the Doctor is the right approach for me. I also noticed that he can archive great results with 2,700 grafts on patients with the same level of hair loss that I have, (I saw numerous pictures of former patients). Dr. E made a point on the fact that he does not divide follicular units and that sometimes Doctors leave patients with too wide of a donor site scar trying to obtain more grafts than the patient can naturally provide. After this consultation I really think that based on my hair loss history and my age that this is the right plan of attack for my case. With medication I will try to at least stop future hair loss and if that doesn't work I still will have the option of going back for another HT because I'm not compromising my donor site now. I strongly recommend you guys to take a look at Dr. E web-site there's a lot of pictures and you can see great results on patients with 2,500 to 2,700 grafts. My surgery with Dr. E is scheduled for April 16th and I will be posting before and after pictures along with an overall view of the whole process. Thanks for all your help on this Forum, without this community I wouldn't be able to move forward with my HT. I'm happy that I'm trusting my HT to Dr. Epstein, he is a great surgeon with more than 14 years of experience in the field, I can't wait for April 16th. Regards Ralph
  10. Today I scheduled another person to peson consultation with Dr. E, I will see him this Thursday April 5th. I will go over all the points made by you guys and my personal goals. Hopefully we can reach a level where he can feel comfortable with the approach as well as myself. I will let you know the outcome of the appointment. Thanks for all your help. Ralph.
  11. Thanks for all your help guys. Today I will contact Dr. Epstein office and try to schedule another appointment before my procedure (less than 2 weeks now)or at least get him on the phone to address a few things, (you guys got me plenty ammunition). However ultimately I will trust his judgment as long as I feel good with it. Hairbank has a valid point, if I have a good donor area why can't we go for a larger session, I understands Dr. E conservative approach, but if I can avoid another HT,(I will probably need another anyways) that would be nice for me. Thanks again guys, you truly help me to have a better understanding on HT. Regards Ralph
  12. When I came to this site I was getting ready to go to Boesley for a procedure, you guys save me the aggravation and that's how I came across Dr. E, he has a great reputation and is on the neck of the wood, however after the consultation, I'm a little undecided because when I see those large procedures coming from doctors like Hanson & Wong, Shapiro and others, I wonder if that's the way to go for me. You guys are more knowledgeable than me on HT and feedback from you guys will be greatly appreciated, (By the way I already schedule a date for my procedure with Dr. E. on April 16)
  13. I started both Finesteride and Rogaine like a month ago. I know that Finesteride is for life and I will be on it for the long run. I would like to know what you guys think about Dr. E approach to my hair loss. The day of my surgery I will try to push for 3000 grafts. Thanks in advance guys. Ralph
  14. That was my first question to Dr. Epstein B spot, He stated that I'm only 31 and that since I seen an acceleration in hair loss in the past year plus my family history with hair loss, (I have an uncle that looks exactly like me, however he is 52 years old) he fear that I will loose more hair by 35 and that's why he wants to use a conservative approach in this procedure, (Only 2700 grafts). B, this is my second consultation (I don't know if boesly counts like a year ago). I appreciate your thoughts on this. Thanks Ralph
  15. Dr. Epstein suggested 2,700 grafts, he told me that I have a good donor area with good flexibility (I've been doing my scalp exercises for more than a month now) Check these top and frontal pictures attached. Your thoughts...
  16. Greetings, This is actually my first post. however I've been browsing the site for around a year and my first and hopefully last HT is scheduled for this April 16, with Dr. Jeffrey Epstein. I know that he has a good reputation in this community, but if there is any former patient that can tell me about their experience with Dr Epstein would be great. My consultation with him was very good; he was honest and told me his recomendations based on my hair loss. I also hear that he is a little conservative in regards of hairline, (Restore my hairline is one of my goals) but since he is well known in this community; I will trust my HT to him. I also will keep you posted after my surgery on April 16, ( I will have before and after pictures). Your thoughts will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Best Regards Raphael
