  1. John Ritter I have often thought about it also. Some celebs that come to mind is Ron Howard and his brother. Upon doing research before my HT. I did find Barry Williams (Greg Brady) of Brady Bunch had an HT. His doctor was in California somewhere. I forget the doctor and clinic.
  2. Where is the best internet place and price for Proscar? Has anyone ordered from Drugstore.com? Their price is 90 tablets for $199.99. Is this generic or real stuff? Any better prices out there?

  4. Proscar switch I too will be switching from Propecia to Proscar soon. Question: Where is the best place and price to buy on the internet? Also if quartered, won't the pill crumble to pieces?
  5. Midnite I had swelling on the forehead, eyes and cheeks. I suppose this was my fault. I was told to ice ASAP. I went to the hotel and slept for a few hours. I did not start icing until late night. This was probably to late. I had swelling on day 2, 3 and 4. Actually thought I looked cool. Looked like I got beat up. Just kidding. Seriously the appearance did not bother me.
  6. Trendsetter I had my first HT in mid April with Dr. Sharon Keene in Tucson, AZ. She also works one week a month with Shapiro Medical in Minnesota. Anyway, I can honestly say that I had no pain before, during or after the surgery. Even the shots were no big deal. Actually it went smoother than a Dental appointment. I too watched movies and dozed off a few times. As far as HT procedures with any good surgeon, the biggest pain is probably the wallet. But it is well worth it. You will do fine! Good luck!
  7. Ronny G Thanks for your response. I will try your suggestion and keep my grafts, scalp moist. How long before you actually shampooed under the shower? I was told to use a cup to pour water at first. Just curious, on your first HT did you shed your grafts? Or did you keep them? thanks
  8. I had my first HT of 2300 grafts on 04/14. It was recommended I spray saline (contact lense) solution every so often to heal the scalp and grafts. Actually it was recommended the first two or three days. I have continued only because my scalp has not improved. There are still blood spots, etc. Shampooing and conditioning have not helped. As of 04/19, my scalp still looks the same. Should I stop spraying and let the scalp dry and begin the scabbing? Will the blood spots affect the grafts? Any suggestions? thanks

  11. Paul148 I had 2300 grafts on the front and top areas. I am not too concerned with the crown area as much. I have been on Propecia for over a year and have slight growth there. This will probably not be enough for a dense look. But compared to what I had before it is quite an improvement. I will eventually get a second HT in the future. I have seen others first HT experiences and you guys look great. Anyway, here goes with the pics. Hope this works.
  12. I finally did it! I just had my first HT with Dr Sharon Keene in Tucson, AZ on 04/14. I too can agree with everyone else who has had great experiences with Dr Keene. She is truly one of the best! Fear was one of my biggest obstacles holding me back. I had asked before the procedure if it was comparable with a Dental procedure as far as comfort and pain. She told me it was better and she was right. No pain before, during or after the surgery. All comfort and I was able to watch movies during this time. Still too early to show results. But will keep everyone posted. The before and after pics to be posted shortly.
