  1. 41 year old male, new to the board, new to HT surgery, had it done last week at MHR in Houston, procedure was performed by Dr. Puig whose credentials seemed very good. He is listed as the President of ABHRS Board of Directors at ( http://www.abhrs.org/ ). I did my research but unfortunately didn't find this forum until now. Might have made another choice had I done so, but too late now and I'll just wait and see what happens. Right now, 4 days Post-Op what I see looks good to me, but I know only time will tell the whole truth. I've read now some of the negative posts about MHR, and hope that my results will be satisfactory. I can tell you this about my procedure, and I will post pictures of before and after later. I went in for 1800 - 2000 grafts. I am N5A. The number of sites that the doctor told the technicians were made was 1850. This is the number that they charged me for. Looking at many other before and after photos it looks like this was a pretty accurate number, plus it took 6 - 7 hours to place them all. I was the only patient in that day, and was treated very well by the staff. I asked to see the grafts during the procedure and the ones that were being placed in the frontal area were indeed single FU's, and not micro-grafts. I believe that some micro's may have been used in the back part of my head, but I don't think that back there they would be much of a problem. I do realize that 100% FU's is the best way to go, MHR does garauntee 100% survival of their grafts. How anyone can count each one and keep track that it grows is beyond me, if you guys know a way then please tell me. Anyway, I'll be checking in from time to time, sharing my experience with you all.....for my sake let's hope it's a good one! Later
