  1. Bill,

They do list the main ingredients on their website:

Main ingredients of Evergreen:Extracts of tuber of multiflower knotweed, Chinese angelica, saffron, ginseng, and fruit of wolfberry
    They also state:

Hair loss stops in 5 days; New hair grows in 15 days.
I'd be highly suspicious of any company/product making such bold claims.
  2. PanamaJimmy,

Thanks for the reply. I don't want to sound ungrateful, though I would like more detailed and conclusive directions, since Dr. Charles hasn't replied as yet I have sent him a private message making him aware of this thread and asking for more details. Hopefully we'll know more soon.

  3. Hey Djames,

I don't want to worry you anymore but I think it is highly unlikely you will get to Thailand by Wednesday. A lot of airlines have already canceled flights for Monday and from what I understand even when flights resume, priority will be given to the 1000's of passengers stranded around the world.

What did Dr. Pathomvanich say regarding the situation?

  4. I'm sure by now the world is aware of the aviation problems Europe is having due to the volcanic eruption in Iceland and the resulting ash clouds covering large parts of Europe. The UK, like a lot of other European countries will soon be entering its 4th day of complete flight cancellations (absolutely no commercial flights taking off or landing) with no sign of it ending anytime soon. Has anyone's transplant been affected by this and what has their clinic's response been?

  5. Dr. Lindsey,

When I had my work done, the donor was closed using absorbable sutures along with tension stitches which were vertical stitches that ran the length of the donor around an inch or less apart and were removed after 5 days. I have already discussed the matter with my surgeon and if I have further work done by him, he is happy to use internal sutures as an addition.

  6. Ohnomahair,

Minoxidil has been proven to halt or slow loss for many users, and in some cases grow hair where as the benefits of the laser comb are still widely debated. Since you have already experienced regrowth from Minoxidil in the past, I'd give it another shot. Have you tried Rogaine foam?

Also, I see no reason why you can't use both at the same time.

  7. Here in the UK I've heard of people recieving cosmetic surgery such as breast enlargements and otoplasty free of charge through the NHS (The National Health Service). However, I don't believe there is a hope in hell of getting a hair transplant paid by the NHS. That being said, there was an outcry here a few years back when a girl who was too short to become an air stewardess recieved very costly surgery on the NHS to lengthen her legs by an inch or so. Anything is possible I guess.

Edit: It was actually 5 inches she gained at a cost of 12,000 pounds ($19,000). You can read the story -here- if anyone is interested.

  8. Dr. Charles was using this product back in March 2009. He stated in an earlier post that it has reduced patient healing times. Has anyone had any experience with H2Ocean spray and if so how did you find it?

    Dr. Charles,

If you read this post, are you still using/recommending this product? If so how do suggest it is used post-op?

I'd also be interested in hearing about any other products people have used on the receipt post-op.

  9. If the main benefit noted so far has been an arrest in shedding, I'm not sure what the pictures are going to prove.

Even if patients continued to shed for the 8 or so months after the treatment, would we see a great deal of difference in the photos? I guess it would differ on a case by case basis, however, it would be very difficult to judge on photos alone unless there was large loss. The fact that patients are booking back up (which I have no doubt is true) shows that they believe the treatment is working. While we all want and hope for photos and evidence showing impressive results, I believe patient feedback is the best we can expect in this short time.
