  1. Since you didn't have the fallout, curious to know what post-op procedures you did. Did you use GraftCyte or something else?
  2. Today I just completed my 2100 graft procedure at Shapiro's office but used Dr. Charles. He is the younger of the group of Doc's that work at the office and Shapiro had a waiting list longer than I wanted to wait. Shapiro has an awesome reputation and I felt that anyone working for him had to be just as good because of his reputation would be on the line if one of the other doctors messed up. My experience was also just like yours. Incredibly comfortable and the staff was first rate. I did extensive homework to find this place and would recommend them to anyone. Of course only time will tell when the hair actually starts growing but I have no reason to doubt.
  3. Just had my second hair transplant procedure today. My first one was with Bosley Medical Group about 6 years ago. The Bosley procedure was a small one and was happy that I did it and happy with the results except I wouldn't go back to them again because the turn over rate is very high and that says something about an organization. Of course a lot has changed these past 6 years and I did extensive, and I mean extensive research, and found Shapiro Medical Group in Minneapolis for my second procedure. Dr. Ron Shapiro is well known throughout the industry as the tops in follicular unit transplants. His reputation is of the highest caliber. I was not able to have him as my transplant surgeon today but did get Dr. Charles. There are a total of 4 surgeons in this office and since Dr. Shapiro is world renowned, the other 3 are just as good. You have to be to work in this office with such a reputation. I got 2100 grafts today and the surgery went great. Now I will tell more later once things start happening and growing, but I can say my experience with Shapiro Medical Group was absolutely incredible compared to Bosley. I had about 8 people working on me altogether. They went out of thier way to make sure I was comfortable. They only do one transplant a day so you are the star and they spend the time with you. I was at the office for about 7 hours of which 6 was for the surgery alone. They took their time and the quality was by far five star. Of course I'm on drugs right now but they were incredible to work with and helpful in every way. I will keep you all posted of my progress and any questions you have, please feel free to ask.

  5. Just had my 2000 follicular unit graft transplant today and Shaprio Medical in Minneapolis. They gave me an entire bottle of the stuff to spray on for the next 5 days. They say that is all that is needed. I did find a GraftCyte shampoo on folica.com for $14.99 to use everyday for the next month. The doctor said go ahead and use it. It couldn't hurt and I have to wash my hair anyways.
  6. What are the vitamins that the doctor gave you?
  7. Forgot one more thing. Keep using Propecia. My doctor today told me it really does work. It may not grow hair but it is a huge prevention of what you got falling out. I stopped it myself two months ago because after using it for 5 years, I didn't think much was happening. After only two months, I noticed some loss and the condition of my existing hair was really week. I'm back on it now!
  8. I was about 25 when i got my first transplant. I was very happy that I did it. It was a minor one with a small amount of grafts but it was worth it for me. Now I'm 33 and just had another transplant done today. I got 2100 follicular unit grafts implanted. The surgery went great and although this just took place today, I was very happy with the process. I went to one of the best known Transplant surgery places called Shapiro Medical Group in the Minneapolis area. They did a fantastic job.
