So far so good Arrie... Third week into HT, the pinching and poking is gone, though there's this LINE of tenderness/sorenss/subliminal tingling at the donor area... still get discomfort while sleeping.. I guess this is normal...doc did say it'll take 3-4 months to be FULLY ok..I just assumed "Fully" was rhetorical...

two weeks into Transplant and the pinching is driving me insane.. gets worse at night when ur trying to sleep and the only thing on your mind is ...the pin pricks...very annoying!!!

I just thought the healing process would take care of most of the pain...i don't mind the pain except that the painkillers don't seem to take away the stinging....ergo sleeping takes effort and isn't complete.. i dont take sleeping pills - just a practice really... how long before the stinging sensation at the donor area passed for you guYS?

Hi, I've had a smooth HT from Dr. True. My donor area sutures were removed yesterday, but I'm feeling a stinging sensation that keeps me up at night. This is random throughout the donor area. Taking painkillers doesn't help much and this keeps me restless and awake at nights. Is this normal? How long before I can sleep on my back (normal sleeping posture..on my back ..with the back of my head resting on the pillow..as i dare not try it as the donor area seems sore and the stinging seems to get worse) Total HT : 2507. NW 6
