  1. I dont come on this website too often, but whenever I see something about brandy I feel compelled to relate my experience. He saw fit to do 2 hairlifts and a strip HT on me when I was around age 21 and a NW3-4. In retrospect I was way too young to do surgery on. Furthermore, his hairlift procedure is one of the most illogical surgeries there is (I am now a physician and know about such things). Finally, he used this stencil template for the recipient sites for the HTs. My grafts are in perfectly symmetrical rows (think of a checkerboard pattern). Thank you Dr. Brandy for making my head resemble a doll. Anyone that goes to Dr. Brandy is taking a HUGE RISK. There are many other alternative surgeons out there who will give you better results. I hope you are reading this Dr. Brandy. If I didnt value my life so much, I would likely be in jail for beating the crap out of you. ---steve
  2. Listen, I am a doctor. I wasnt when I had my surgeries done 10 years ago, but I am one now. Not only are his hairlifts bad, but he gave mea crappy transplant as well. This is your final warning from me......do not choose Dr. Brandy or you will be sorry. When you go in for your consultation, ask if he still uses his stencil pattern to mark where the grafts go. I am sure you will be happy to have your grafts placed in symmetric rows. It really does complete the "doll's hair" appearance perfectly. ---steve
  3. I am trusting by your screen name that you a PSU alum. I graduated there in '94. Anyway, I was a Norwood 3v going on 4 when I had my first hairlift by Dr. Brandy in Pittsburgh. Having these scars and his crappy work, severly affected my life in a negative way for a decade. I am currently in the process of getting this fixed. I know how your son must feel right now. Being in college and balding is a horrible experience to go through. However, getting scars right now could make things worse. If he does anything at all, I would go the route of FUE so he still retains the ability to shave his head without noticeable scars. However, as others have stated above, it probably would be best to do nothing for now. If you would like me to talk with your son on the phone concerning this, I would be more than happy to do so. I dont want to see anyone going through what I have experienced at his age. My email is psusteven1@aol.com if you want to get in touch with me. --steve
  4. What I remember learning in school is that you will bald if 1) You are male and you inherit one baldness gene or 2) You are female and you inherit 2 baldness genes. ---steve
  5. I am one of Dr. Brandy's victims as well. I had 2 scalp lifts and 1 transplant. I can attest that this doctor disfigured me for life. Please do not let him touch your head. Do your research on the internet and you will see that the negative posts concerning him greatly outweigh the positive ones. Where there is smoke there is fire!!!! I only wish the internet and hairloss sites were as popular 10 years ago when I had my procedures done. I could have probably been saved quite a bit of agony. --steve
