  1. Hey all, it's been a while but I inevitably drifted back. I see there are the same ppl here. I hope things have gotten better for you-- christ, the sting of baldness sucks. Anyway, a sudden thinning of my scalp has alarmed me. Not too long ago I stopped taking an SSRI medication, after which my hair seemed to thin. This has happened before, but my hair has seemed to thicken back up afterwards. I've been on 1.5mg of finasteride for four months and have just recently weighted myself with the weight of Rogaine dependence. I've heard that hair loss speeds up as it goes, could this be that? i'd say i'm a 3V now on the Ludwig Scale, with a lower forehead (thankfully-for now).

  3. Howday all, sorry but still no pics . But dey's be a-comin, I promise. But I want to know-- what's a realistic estimate of the cost?? I'm not too bad, about like Tom Green except with a higher forehead and thinner top coverage (though not so thin that you can see thru it from all angles). I read $6 per graft is about right. I'm thinking that the whole shebang may set me back like ten, maybe fifteen grand. Damn. More expensive than I thought. Any thoughts of your own?

  5. Hey all. This is my first post here in this online community so hi hi. I'm a graphic designer and a bit of an eccentric who has both strong artistic skills and chronic major depression. I'll get around to posting a pic of my balding-assed head sometime soon, though I notice that my hair loss isn't as severe as many pics I've seen so far. I wonder if transplants to the crown and the vertex require two separate visits to a surgeon. I also want to know about procedures for thickening diffuse hair loss as opposed to the site-specfic patches i've seen in most photos. There must be a procedure for this as women's hair loss is usually of a diffuse type. Glad to be part of this community.
