  1. Hey guys, So I am 7 days post op - just a question...how agressive or gentle should I be when trying to remove the scabs/crusts from the hair? Can someone point me to a link or something? I don't want to pull out any hairs but the instructions also said that I should be getting rid of all the other stuff... thanks!

  3. Hi, I'm only 3 days post op, but when I place my hand close to the top of my recipient area, it feels warm...is this normal? I am on antibiotics and otherwise feel great. Thanks
  4. Hey everyone, Your comments mean so much to me, thanks. Today is slightly better, no pain, and except that I am not that hungry (I think that is still stress) I am feeling ok. I did have a lot of native hair on top that was shaved, so hopefully in 5 weeks, some will regrow and I will look semi-normal. The donor area seems fine, and a ton of hair is covering it for now. I am here right until the staples get taken out, so at least the nice people at H&W can wash my hair everyday. Thanks, guys, and keep the positive thoughts coming...I will update in a week or so.
  5. Just home from a 3600 graft with Doc Wong. I have to say, they are an extremely professional staff and the experience was handled superbly. If any of you can give me words of encouragement I would greatly appreciate it...I am fearful that I made the wrong choice, or that it won't work. I am away for 5 weeks from work and anyone I know now, to let my scalp recover and I am wondering if that might be enough time for the redness to fade when I go back to work? Will I be able to look somewhat normal if I shave down fairly close? Anyway, if someone can make me feel better, that would be great Thanks

  7. I have decided on a HT with Dr. Wong. Have to say I am a bit nervous. Just wondering a few things: 1) If I go with FUE, (2500 grafts) is it possible to shave my head and look normal within 2 months while waiting for the hair to fully re-grow? 2) How long after the transplant do I have to stay out of the sun? 3) Is it painful? 4) I am spending a lot of money - I'm hoping this works and that I don't end up looking worse than before. Othwerwise, I'm pretty excited to finally not have to worry about my hair. I just get very self conscious when I play sports and start to sweat - it would be nice to have some thickness up there I also think it will make me look as young as I feel (I'm 32, but I think I look a lot older). Anyway, had to get some stuff off my chest. Thanks for reading.

  9. Hello all, I am a 31 year old male and am considering a hair transplant. I have read a lot on here about the membership and coalition members. I have a few concerns, some nervousness and questions that I am hoping someone can answer. I have also had a consultation with Dr. Nakatsui where it was recommended that we do 2500 grafts to the restore the frontal area and "fill in the top" I think I am a 3V and have excellent thick donor hair. 1) How wide and long is the scar going to be? 2) Since I still have a fair amount of native hair on top, I am very concerned about the shock effect on this recipient area. I have heard stories about people have less hair than before. 3) I think I have already answered this next one, but is it necessary then to shave down the recipient area to do the HT? I have a sales job that requires me to visit many clients, so you can see my concern that my hair will look really weird (long on the sides and back, and short on the top). 4) How good is Dr. Nakatsui compared to Dr. Wong? 5) Is the FUE treatment as advanced as FUT? Should I consider doing the FUE so as to avoid the scar and then being able to shave my head while the hair regrows? Thanks for any answers!
