  1. ps i intend on staying a member and contributing as much as i can, i'm not just trying to get my questions answered then leaving... thanks guys
  2. first i would like to say that i am extremely glad that i found this forum, i have been feelin very bummed about my losing of hair (i'm fairly thin on top and fairly receded). its nice to get different information and opinions than just the "face it you're gonna lose it all... quit wasting your time and effort" i get from my bitter and miserly dad... who's the reason for my ailment. very bummed especially since i'm only 23... i've been reading many of these threads for the past week (i've missed a morning or two of work from losing track of time readin this late at night) and from what i can tell i bet i'm similar to jupiter, and on the line that Bill was on (which i read your weblog and its very inspiring ... i honestly felt someone knew exactly how i feel now) i've been on propecia for the past 6 months, i know that it is recommended to wait a year to truly evaluate its effect... but i recently added rogaine foam 5% (a week ago, aka way to soon to evaluate any of that) .... i have also been on nioxin (not that it helps anyway)... i don't believe i've had any help from the propecia yet.... which leads me to i have some questions/ verifications of ideas that i would like to have input on: 1. i would like to add nizoral 2% to my routine a couple times a week... i have seen this available on some online canadian pharmacies... are these pharmacies legit or what? i would like to avoid spending the money to go to a doctor to get the script for it... 2. does taking more finesteride than just the 1 mg daily do anything? is it like a more the merrier type thing? 3. does anyone take dutasteride as well as finasteride? would that be a completely bad idea? i haven't noticed any side effects from the propecia and would like to attack this as much as i can... since i remember seeing dutasteride attacks dht in 2 ways and kills it off more... 4. if that is a bad idea how would i go about getting proscar? just normal script from a doctor? what's it marketed under in the US? just proscar? i don't have a dermatolagist so finding one would be a process (what/who insurance will cover etc... gotta love united state's health care system) 5. and lastly are there any good topical inhibitors?.... that work? honestly i don't care too much about money right now... whatever i have to spend to stop losing my hair is fine... at 23 its worth it. i'm of the belief that its better to bombard the problem with any and every solution and hope for the best, than run a couple years worth of trial and error... who knows what i would lose in that time. i just don't want to have to get a HT... thank you in advance for any help... i apologize for asking a lot of questions, however i still may have more to come haha!
